A rob+ vs DJM

Postby nerdswag » Sat May 15, 2021 4:51 am

Got an offer of DJ Moore for A Rob and a 2022 2nd(another team’s - prob mid to late pick). For team in sig.

Take it? Leave it? Counter to replace the 2nd with a 3rd?

Thanks!

I prefer Moore to Robinson, but not by much. I think I’d only make the trade if you think Moore is much better. Otherwise I’m not sure how much you’re really helping your team

For 2021, you're probably downgrading slightly. But DJM has youth on his side, so that's a plus for him.

I'd hold, but it's perfectly legit to make the trade if you like DJM better.

I made a trade for DJM last year and dealt him ARob, MVS and Gaskin for him. I think that ARob is slightly better, but the age gap did it for me. But if he's coming to you for the deal I wouldn't add your 2nd to it.

I offered AR for DJ straight up, and he countered with adding the 2nd. My goal was to get younger since I’m trying to rebuild/retool for a year or two.

It's a fair deal but you're only gaining 4 years (age at start of season). Probably better off holding and trading in-season when you can get players+picks if you trade for injured players from contenders.

Robinson is slightly more valuable and productive, but I prefer Moore heading into 2021 and beyond.
