A.J. Dillon, Marlon Mack for Jalen Reagor

Postby Mcknic » Fri May 14, 2021 2:33 pm

I was offered AJ Dillon, Marlon Mack for Jalen Reagor. This is for team #1 in my signature. I feel like I’m somewhat weak at RB and decent at WR. Mack could be handcuff for JT. Does it make sense to do this trade? By the way, I have the 2021 1.04 pick in the rookie draft, not sure if Chase or Travis E will fall to me.

I'm not big on handcuffs, so factor that in but I would rather hold Reagor and see if he develops. Jones resigning in Green Bay really caps Dillon.

Not high on Reagor. But he may produce better than Dillon with Jones blocking him for touches.

I have little faith Reagor will become a useful fantasy asset. At best I see him as a WR3 and he has a ways to go to even be a consistent Flex option.

I favor Reagor in this poll.

Hmm, tough one. Don't care about Mack, worried he will never regain form.

I think Reagor has the draft capital and some opportunity but needs to develop.

Dillon has capital and would be fine if thrown into the starting roll. But he is obviously blocked from workhorse touches for 1-2 years barring injury. I think I read before and can't find it now that a lead RB averages 13 games a year. Sounds about right on average. So you are looking an average of 6 total games over the next two years. That could be zero games of use or Jones could tear his achilles and Dillon would have 2 years of use.

I thought before I started writing I would pick Reagor but I'm swapping to Dillon.

Hmmm... Well, it's two backups for a WR with a good chance to start. I'm a Dillon fan, and hope he gets his shot at some point but it won't happen this year unless Jones gets hurt. Not out of the realm of possibility, but I wouldn't bank on it.

Since you've got Taylor, Mack could be a hedge against injury. But coming back from an Achilles for a RB is no joke. It usually isn't all that successful. Also, make this deal and you've already got a cut to make. Guessing it would be Perriman.

Seems to me that the only player who has a realistic chance to increase in value is the one you'd be shipping in Reagor. He wasn't great in 2020, but if he were on my roster I'm not sure I'd just want to give up on him for those two players. I can see why you'd consider it, but I'd probably hold.
