Acquiring the 1.04 (1.02 offer was rejected)

New orphan....roster below. 12 team. 1QB. TEP=1.5 Normal starting requirements 1-2-3-1-1

QB: Wilson, DJones
RB: Gibson, Sanders, AJD, Edmunds
WR: Higgins, Golladay, AROB, Claypool, Woods, OBJ, GDavis
TE: Waller, Hock, Cmet, LThomas
1.09, 2.09, 3.06, 3.09

So 1.09+Higgins+Edmonds for 1.02 was rejected without comment. Harris, ETN, Pitts went 1,2,3. So now looking at 1.04. 1.04 owner has previously indicated some interest in 1.09+Higgins. I need an RB but the issue I have now is with Chase sitting there, I don't feel like I could take Javonte ahead of him at 1.04. Thoughts?

I would dangle Logan Thomas over your current offer. With Waller and Hock ahead of him, you have that flexibility

Unless you think you are contending you should have a fire sale on some of your older players before moving off of an asset like Higgins.

I do think I'm contending. The league is a strange mix of half really bad teams and half solid but not dominant teams. Only one team has a noticeable edge on the rest. That said, since it's a new orphan, I have considered blowing it up. But there doesn't seem to a market for older players in this league.

Based on prior conversations with the owner, I actually think 1.09+Higgins gets it done. But if I get the 1.04, how do I select Javonte over Chase??? And if I select Chase, have I really improved my team that much? I feel like I'm in an odd spot here.

Might be a stupid question, but why move up to 1.04? I'd consider seeing if you can catch someone with rookie fever and maybe get a discount on a CEH (Mixon) or some other RB using your 1.09 and Logan Thomas with maybe Corey Davis if you can find a believer.
