Claypool for Higgins

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Claypool for Higgins

Postby Niter213 » Fri May 14, 2021 7:16 am

I'm offering up Claypool + 3.04 for Higgins + 2022 2nd.

I'm not a fan of this draft and don't think I'll get much help at 3.04.

How do people see Higgins vs Claypool?

WRs- Adams, Hill, DJ Moore,AJ Brown, Mooney

TEs- Schultz, Kmet, Engram

2022 picks- 2.10 3.11

Fairly the same. I don't see why either side needs to add a 2nd-3rd swap to get the other WR. This seems more like a trade for owner's preference, not really trading for need.

I dont know. I'm really torn on my thoughts on Higgins now. I have a feeling you are going to get a pretty even split on people here depending on who they like more between Claypool and Higgins after the draft. I think I like Claypool a little more now, but I'm assuming JuJu actually leaves next year and Pitt finds another QB. I don't really get the point of the picks here, if I'm the Higgins owner I'm sure not attaching anything unless you know they love Claypool.

I like Higgins more still and expect more consistency out of him. Claypool seems a bit boom or bust to me. I actually think Chase landing in Cincinnati could help Higgins overall. If Chase becomes an alpha, I could see a Jones/Ridley, Cooper/Lamb, Brown/Davis type partnership but with more upside. This also comes down to how Burrow develops. but I expect him to be a stud, so no worries there.

If you can make this deal, I like it a lot for you.

Higgins is still more valuable, on paper. But I expect his value to keep trending down over the summer, as reports from camp start hyping up Chase.

I'm attaching the picks because I'm trying to convince him Chase will be a problem for Higgins and he wants more picks this year. So trying to get out of this draft and into a higher pick next year. Why not ?? Lol

Higgins for me. Last year AJ Green, Boyd and Higgins all had over 100 targets. So now Chase takes Greens targets and they all become significantly higher valued targets. I think Higgins and Chase could both finish top 15.

I'd rather have Higgins than Claypool straight up so I'd definitely prefer the Higgins side here
