TE prices

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

TE prices

Postby mzkp54 » Fri May 14, 2021 6:40 am

Looking to add a TE in team 3.

One team is deep and willing to sell. Wondering what you would value each of the following TE at in terms of players or '22 picks. I have the strongest team in the league's '22 1st and 2 '22 2nds.

Fant
Goedert
Kmet
Higbee

League is 0.5 PPR with 0.5 TE premium.

Fant and Goedert are likely late 1sts and mid to late 2nds would be my max on the other two. Kmet has upside but is unknown and Higbee has had one good year.

With my team would you move a late 1st for Fant or Goedert? The team whose first I have will definitely be a playoff team, with a good chance at winning it all.

I think Logan Thomas should be solid for you. I would hold the 1st. Hooper is an adequate backup too. If you are itchy, I'd use a 2nd to snag Higbee.

I don't think any of those TE's put you over the top so I would hold the 1st and roll with Logan Thomas. Knox could also take a leap this season. If you find yourself in contention mid-season, you can reassess at that point.

I would not as outside of elite TE's, they are all pretty hit or miss week to week and I don't think either give you a huge upgrade week to week.

None of these guys is a clear upgrade over Thomas, so I won't be itching to shell out a 1st on them. Fant is the most intriguing option here, and I would at least inquire whether a package of Thomas + early 2nd might entice the owner to move him.

I wouldn’t worry much about TE if those are the only upgrade options.

f you can't get one of the top few. I think Thomas will be solid again this season. Next season is a bit out there but this season he will probably be a TE1 again
