Lance/Lamb for a haul of young players (SF)

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Lance/Lamb for a haul of young players (SF)

Postby eraldo_coil » Thu May 13, 2021 4:59 pm

Team one in sig. I’ve been in talks with another owner for quite some time and the latest we’ve drummed up is the following. Keep in mind this is superflex and TE premium.

Give: Lance, Lamb

Get: Hockensen, Gibson, Higgins

Is this close enough? Would this even make sense for my team?
Team 1
12-team, 0.5 PPR, SuperFlex, TE Premium (+0.5 PPR) | 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 3FLEX, 1SF

QB: Hurts, Herbert, Cousins, Purdy
RB: Taylor, Barkley, Swift, Mixon, N.Harris, Hunt, Dobbins, Strong
WR: Jefferson, Adams, Metcalf, Godwin, Ridley, Lockett, Cooks
TE: Kittle, Njoku, Gesicki

Team 2
12-team, PPR | 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2FLEX

QB: Wilson, Jones
RB: Robinson, Gibbs, Mixon, Sanders, R. White
WR: Lamb, Godwin, Lockett, Addison, D. Johnson, Meyers, Campbell, R. Moore
TE: Kincaid, Dulcich, Fant

I'd want Lance and Lamb. I think that's where the upside lies.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

Solid value overall here, but I would hold your side in SF. Lance has so much upside and Lamb has yet to hit his max value in my opinion.

Heck no. You would be giving up the two best pieces in the deal.

You have 5 starting RBs and 4-5 starting WRs for 7 slots as is. Getting a solid looking TE and even more depth for a top WR and the QB most think has the highest ceiling (after TLaw) doesn’t seem worth it. I’d keep what you have.

You have the ammo to make a play for Hockenson, if he was your main target, without giving up top options at two positions.

By the thread title I was surprised to see what the offer actually was.

Lance and Lamb ARE young players. And the trio you're getting back aren't a significant "haul" to make me want to move off Lance/Lamb. I'd easily pass on this offer.
