Trade for Miles Sanders?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade for Miles Sanders?

Postby crip7300 » Wed May 12, 2021 8:44 pm

I am about 2/3s of the way through a 12 team Superflex PPR startup draft. I have been offered Miles Sanders for 22 1st and 24 1st.

My strategy has been a youth build and trade back to get as many future picks as possible and draft RB heavy the next 2 years.

The team's 1st in 22 I will be trading is probably middle of the pack. With my roster would you stay with the picks or grab Sanders.

I would appreciate any thoughts, Thanks in advance.

My Roster - Start - QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, SF, Flex, Flex, DEF
QB - Lawrence, Watson, Brady, Daniel Jones
RB - Swift, Moss, Gainwell, E. Mitchell
WR - AJB, Aiyuk, Diontae, Shenault, Fuller, R. Moore, E. Moore, Mooney, Dyami Brown
TE - Goedart

Picks
2022 - 1,1,1,1,2,2,3
2023 - 1,1,1,2,3,3
2024 - 1,2,3

Everyone looks middle of the pack in a startup but I'd probably still pull the trigger on the trade. 24 1st is way out anyway. I like what you've done with the team. IDK how you came away with all those picks and those players. Well done.
TEAM 1 - 12 man SF. ppr, TEP 1.65 ppr

11 starters - QB, RB(2) WR(3) TE, SF, Flex(3)

Stroud, Kyler, Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson, Minshew, Trey Lance, Dalton l, Mike White

Breece, Achane, AJ Dillon, Justice Hill, Evan Hull, Chris Rodgriquez

Chase, Lamb, Waddle, Olave, London Drake, Demario Davis, Jake Bobo

Kyle Pitts, Mark Andrews, Kincaid, Schoonmaker

24 picks - 1x2, 3,4,5

Team 2-
12 man SF, .25ppc, .5ppr rbs, 1 ppr wr, 1.5 ppr TE

Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawerence, Jake Haehner, Jake Browning

JT, Kendre Miller,, K Ingram, Ty Chandler, Michael Carter, Kenny Macintosh, Sean Tucker

Puka, Rondale, Mooney, Wan’dale, Terrace Marshall, DPJ, Justyn Ross, Xavier Hutchinson,

Kyle Pitts, Luke Musgrave, Juwan Johnson, Darnell Washington, Jelani Woods, Elijah Higgins

24 - 1st x 3, 2nd x 2, 4th x 3 ,5

No. Stick with your plan and control the next few drafts. Unless the 2022 1st will be from a team that looks like it will be at the end of the 1st round.

Definitely got lucky having some value drop to me, but also have a few rookies in the league, who are valuing proven production and win now over long term and youth. Also few guys who make homer picks over the better player imo. So with a few ppl really trading up and looking for proven production the league does have a few pretty good teams for a startup, which is why I think the team's 1st I will be trading will be more middle of the pack.

I'm leaning towards keeping the picks and trying to trade Brady and Fuller for youth and future picks. I don't know if I would have a strong enough team to make a deep playoff run even with Sanders, but getting Sanders might make my team just good enough to make my team's pick worse for next year. 1.03 seems much more appealing than 1.07 next year.

I think the value is there, but I'm not sure Sanders fits your build or future hope as much. I would hold and keep building as if now. You are looking a couple years out.
