Goff Value - and QB Question

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Goff Value - and QB Question

Postby stevothepirate » Wed May 12, 2021 2:11 pm

Team 2 in Sig.

Would you flip Goff for 2.03 and an (early) 2022 2nd?

(Both Moores, Terrace, Sermon available). After trading up to grab TLaw at 1, I'm trying to move either Carr or Goff and get some receiving options. Any advice on how to move those guys would be great. Don't think I need to follow the normal rule of getting a QB back given my volume at the position.

Very nice QB room now. I would put Goff and Carr on the block publicly and let your league know you are looking for a WR or two in return and see what options come. Carr may bring the better return, but I think this is the best way to gauge interest and price.

Yeah totally - any ballpark on what sort of replacement level WR you'd be targeting?

Appreciate the help!

Each league is so different value wise, are you looking for a younger option or vet?

It's a good question. The way I see if, I'm probably 2 productive wrs away from being competitive.

If I can get to that cheaper by taking vets, and lose some value due to age, I'd probably go that route. There are some really needy teams (talking Tannehill and PJ Walker), but I think the pressure will build towards the season. Targets on that roster, for example, would be Ridley, Higgins, Claypool, Sutton.

Overall, this league tends to devalue QBs if they roster 2 starters of any quality.

K. Allen always seems undervalued and I would also check in on Julio Jones and Hopkins if you think they put you over the top. Jones could be dirt cheap and some seem to be trying to get out of Hopkins. Not saying these would be straight up deals, but may be worth a price check.

I wouldnt want to trade for Goff at all, but these non qb concerned teams tend to pay for guys like him once they are in a bind. Obv happy with Ridley if you can get that done.

Id make the case for Keenan as well. Push for - Goff scores more in the SF overall, KA only has a year or two before he falls off the cliff(which i think is about a year longer tham Goff starts in the league), blah blah blah.

KA will get tons of targets again and his game translates well to playing longer than a guy that relies on athleticism.

Cooper is a very solid WR. This is the type of deal you were hoping for!

I think this helps your team overall. I'm not sure you should be adding the 2nd, but I'm not sure I would let that hold up the deal. Cooper is a lot safer than Goff no matter the format in my opinion. He could be a top 10 WR with Prescott.
