1.09 OTC

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

1.09 OTC

Postby SteveMaddensShoes » Mon May 10, 2021 9:27 pm

For team in sig. Lots of starters and a SF

Worst case scenario in my mind has happened. I've tried trading up a few times and didn't work. I was almost sure one of ETN or a QB would slide to me and now I'm left looking at Javonta Williams who I wasn't high on.

I've got the offer I mentioned earlier sitting in my inbox as well. It's send 1.09+2.10+2022 1.01 or 1.02(90% sure it will be one of those. Guy literally has Big Ben, Wentz, Cook, Landry and Deebo along with Antonio Brown and trying to fill out the rest of his lineup with Mark Ingram, Perriman, Steven Sims, James O'shaugnessy and no 1st rounders through 2023  . But he pays his dues so whatever)

I'm sure this is good value but having the hardest time trading for RBs in this league over the last couple years. Feels like if I had another RB I could finally have a better chance as a contender.

Go for Williams, let him develop and wait for next years early 1st and make a run then or just take Herbert and figure it out later. I took Tua and Burrow last year and didn't figure it out. No one traded for them.

So I know the answer is take the trade. This is more of a rant. It's take the trade right?

Included in this question - Does anyone think Herbert mainly thrived against poor pass Ds? I'm noticing his two bad games were against better pass Ds. Am I buying Baker Mayfield 2.0 here?

The trade offer is give 1.09, 2.10 and guaranteed top 2 or 3 1st for Herbert

Or take Mac Jones or Williams and wait for the pick to grow in value
'
I'm not sure I trust Herbert...

In SF, locking up Herbert seems the way to go even on value alone.

I took the trade. Makes value sense, I just don't feel good about it.
