Dillon vs Carter

Postby Dr. Trades » Mon May 10, 2021 8:58 pm

I own Aj Dillon.
Other RBs I own are Saquon, Mixon, Swift, ETN, and Mike Davis.
We are at end of second tier in our draft and Carter is the last of them. Thinking of offering Dillon to the Aaron Jones owner for the pick. Pull the trigger? Need to add anything?
Thx

I'm not sure I follow... You want to buy the pick by offering Dillon so that you can get Carter? Why? Carter makes some sense as a hedge for Dillon; but you'll be trading Dillon. I don't get it. Your RB room is in good shape. Surely there's an option other than Carter.

You don’t need a rb now..I think Dillon holds more long term value.

Jones signed a nice contract but Dillon will still get work. Williams took plenty of touches away from Jones last year. Carter appears to have landed in a good spot with lots of opportunity but I would let Dillon develop. With your RB core, if you like Carter more as a prospect however, I can understand the move as you dont really need either.

I prefer Carter pretty easily in ppr. Besides being in a situation to get more touches he should be involved a lot in the passing game while Dillon is completely nonexistent there.

I think you should get a little back if you want to make the offer. I wouldn't trade Dillon for Carter but I get the appeal. Carter will have to ball out to not be replaced in the future. I mean, he is only a 4th round pick, he might not even be the starter. It's not like his job is guaranteed. If Jones goes down Dillon will fetch a 1st.

But if you can get something thrown back at you where you can grab another prospect, sure, go for it if you want Carter.

If that is only 1/2 ppr it gives more value to Dillon as well. I don't think Carter cracks your lineup but Dillon might as a lead back.

I'm obv a biased Dillon owner.

Thx all. This was helpful. Held on to Dillon, which I think I wanted to do all along, but make sure I wasn’t missing an opportunity. Appreciate ya
