Can this team compete for a championship?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Can this team compete for a championship?

Postby heydangle » Mon May 10, 2021 3:49 pm

12 team Superflex. Start 10 players. TE ppr = 1.75

Notable players:
Dak, Watson, Z Wilson
Edmonds, ETN, Sermon, Swift, Javonte Williams, Stephenson
J Jefferson, AJ Brown, Evans, Chase, T Marshall, R Moore
Andrews, Hockenson, Pitts

I guess it all hinges on Watson right?
Earned the 4th pick in the rookie draft.
Do I put my rookies that will likely produce on the taxi squad or should I go for it?
I’ll take any advice with this team. Thanks.

Watson is a huge factor here and if Swift + a couple rookie RB's make a jump/hit. Your top three WR core is strong and Chase will [lay a big factor here too. Solid TE's given the format. Your team has a lot of "ifs" this year but looks very solid long term. I could see this team making a run if a lot comes together and Watson plays. I think you are looking more at next year again dependent on how your rookies pan out. Nice future looking build though.

I think this team can compete, now win a ship this year I still feel you're about a year out. You have a lot riding on Watson and no one knows what'll happen there.

No question it could take it all. My only (slight) concern is a 4th QB. Your RB's are certainly strong enough to match most teams while your WR's and TE's do the damage. Then you have Sermon and Williams who could both have the lion's share of their respective team's by mid-late season. That's a sweet team to me. Nice job however you built it.

if this team can start all 3 TEs, then youve got a chance.

I'd say solid chance to make playoffs & once there anything can happen.

12 team Superflex. Start 10 players. TE ppr = 1.75

Need to know starting requirements.

Notable players:
Dak, Watson, Z Wilson
Probably average this year, great next year. Wilson will be starting and with Dak returning, you'll have an average pairing in my mind. But there may certainly be weeks where you're going to want to start a positional player over wilson. If watson plays a full season or the 2nd half of hte season I think you are in a much better postion.

Edmonds, ETN, Sermon, Swift, Javonte Williams, Stephenson
Next year this group is great imo. This year, who knows. I think Williams gets eased in like we saw JT last year, probably the same with Etienne. If its a start 2 I feel a little iffy about htis group this year, but they should be okay.

J Jefferson, AJ Brown, Evans, Chase, T Marshall, R Moore
Good group here. Again your rookies could use a year. Potentially lacking a little depth until next year.

Andrews, Hockenson, Pitts
Super solid. Can certainly pull flexes out of this group. Again, seeing a year from pitts will make the huge jump most are expecting.

I guess it all hinges on Watson right?
Earned the 4th pick in the rookie draft.
Do I put my rookies that will likely produce on the taxi squad or should I go for it?

I’ll take any advice with this team. Thanks.

How many can you put on your taxi squad? who can you pick up if you do put them on your taxi squad? I think if everything plays out well, you're set. But I feel a lot better about you next year than this year.

I'd put Marshall and Moore on your taxi while keeping chase on your main roster. Pitts for main roster. Stephonson and Sermon can start on taxi and pulled off it if needed. Wilson should be on your main roster.

Yeah I had 4,5,6,8, 12 then 2.03 and 2.04 and then I traded CEH and Aiyuk for Jefferson and Sermon. Might look to flip Sermon. How do you guys feel about him? Would you flip for a 22 first if you could get it:

It took a while to accumulate the picks the last couple years, hopefully it pays off soon

It’s start one of each, a Superflex and the rest flex spots so I can start all 3 tight ends

37 roster spots during the off-season, have to cut down to 32 later. I have 34 currently. It was a 5 round rookie draft so the waiver wire is pretty bare.. I bring it up to see if it’s worth keep all point scoring rookies on the active roster to go for it or if I should legal tanking basically.

I would definitely go for it. I think even with Watson missing time you'll still buoy your QB2 with the Double Dickin at TE/Possibly triple. I think Dak is gna go absolutely ballistic this season and could easily be a top 5 QB again right out the gate. That would be more than enough to carry you deep because as said, your rbs are solid and your wrs are plenty hearty enough to hang with the best units. Id keep all hands on deck.
