Justin Herbert

In a 1 QB league that is ppr, is it too much to give the 1.11 for Justin Herbert? I doubt that Lawrence will still be on the board.

That's a steal IMO. A lot of people are down in all QBs in a start 1 QB league, but I love having a solid, set and forget starter.

Herbert just turned 23 and was QB7 (>=8 games) in PPG last season.

Even though it's usually not a position you want to pay a 1st for in that format, that's fair value for a young stud QB. If you really have a glaring hole at QB and this will cement you as a contender or something, I would do it.

I made a similar move for Goff in 2018 thinking that I was getting the next big thing at QB. Didn't work out to well for me. I rather draft fields in the second or buy Stafford, Rodgers, Ryan much cheaper.

With this class and it's depth, I would be happy to give that pick if you are in need of a top young QB add. He could be a set and forget for years if he keeps it up.

I traded a 2022 1st for Herbert a few months ago in a one QB league and do not regret it. Having a solid starter for ten years allows you to focus on other positions and QBs are slowly gaining value in one QB leagues.
10 Team. PPR. 25 player roster. 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2 Flex, 1 SF, 1D
QB - Justin Herbert. Anthony Richardson. Geno Smith. Sam Howell.
RB - Saquon Barkley. JK Dobbins. Tony Pollard. Leonard Fournette. Kareem Hunt. Devin Singletary. Zamir White. Tyjae Sharp. Jaylen Warren. Jerome Ford. Zach Evans. Chris Rodriquez.
WR - AJ Brown. DK Metcalf. Chris Godwin. Deebo Samuel. Amon Ra St Brown. Courtland Sutton.
TE - Darren Waller. Pat Freiermuth. Evan Engram.

2024 - 1st. 4th.
2025 - 1st. 4th.

Whats the rest of your roster look like? I would wait to make the deal until your on the clock just by the off chance someone slides to you in the draft or your able to package the pick and move up in the draft.

I will lay the ground work and wait until I am on the clock. The Herbert owner has Prescott too. I know Lawrence will be gone by that point and Fields has a good chance to be gone too. I do have Stafford but lost the championship with him since he threw two passes and was yanked. I needed ten points or so to win. But it also did not help Kamara literally scored 80 points that week. Thanks to all who gave an opinion.
