Picks 2.07, 2.08 and 2.10

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Picks 2.07, 2.08 and 2.10

Postby NFL123 » Sat May 08, 2021 1:45 pm

12 team, start 1 QB league.

Currently the draft is at 2.02, but I feel that by the time my picks beginning at 2.07 comes around, the top talent left will be away (Fields, Marshall, R Moore, E Moore).

I'm really not convinced by any of the guys that are left beyond that - St Brown, Dyami Brown, Rodgers, Atwell, Eskridge, Wallace, Friermuth, Palmer, etc.

In most years, having 2.07, 2.08 and 2.10 would give promising options but this year it seems a total shot in the dark. St Brown and Rodgers seem like the two that have the clearest path to playing time and also making an impact. Assuming these are the guys I am left with at 2.07 and 2.08, who would you pick?

I have tried trading the 2.10 for next years 2nd (as I don't have a pick in the first two rounds in 2022) but no takers so far, which is unusual for a draft as normally teams are falling over themselves to get 2nd round picks.

I'm not big on the depth in this class either, that being said, if St Brown and/or Rodgers both fell, I would be thrilled based on your draft spot.

At least one out of the two will be there and it's encouraging to hear that you are high on St Brown/Rodgers at that area of the draft.

One alternative that has been proposed is that I give 2.07/2.08 and Mike Davis (who is currently my RB3) for 2.02 which would get me Marshall or either of the Moore's. Don't really need Fields with having Burrow and Kyler. Is that offer better for me than picking say St Brown and Rodgers?

I would not trade Davis for 5 spots and the chance to draft Marshall or Moore.

Id also hold Davis and take St Brown if available first. I took Rodgers in the third in a 10t sf so back end second in a 12t is standard I'd say.

I would hold Davis. I wouldn’t at all mind grabbing St Brown if he’s there at 1.07. I think he has a good shot at targets in Detroit and could surprise if given a shot.

Hold Davis. Can you package the picks themselves to move up? 2.08+2.10 for 2.04 or 2.05 could look
Tempting to the owner and lands you one of your 4 guys.

Quick update on this, I'm now OTC

Somehow Rondale Moore is still there at 2.07, so I will take him.

For 2.08 and 2.10, it's between
St Brown
Rodgers
Dyami Brown
Nico Collins
Gainwell

I'm thinking St Brown and Rodgers if possible, with Dyami Brown as the alternative? Gainwell is tempting at 2.10 but everything seems to be going against him, whether it's landing spot and even down to the Eagles bringing in more competition in Kerryon Johnson.

I rarely hang onto late 2nds. The hit rate is so incredibly low even in good years. See if you can flip them for future 2nds that have a chance to be earlier and save your roster space.
