Moving the potential 2022 1.01

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Moving the potential 2022 1.01

Postby ausmith26 » Fri May 07, 2021 1:31 pm

There is a guy in my league that is pushing to buy a 2022 pick off of me. The 1st has a good chance of being the 1.01 but at worst will be the 1.03.

Players of note he has and is willing to move are: JK Dobbins, Tee Higgins, DJ Moore, Deebo Samuel, 1.08, 1.12, 2.04

Is there a fair offer that would make sense for my team coming out of this?

He has also pursued my 1.04 but there is a good chance Chase is there so I don't want to move that.

Would all 3 of my 1sts next year (early, early-mid, and late) be a good move for Dobbins and the 1.08? (I would likely land either Waddle or Lawrence at 1.08)

With how much that pick will grow in value, selling it now could be a mistake outside of a big overpay that is unlikely to happen. Dobbins + Moore or Higgins would get me to move that pick, but again that is a big ask this far out. Again, that pick will grow so much in value that it is just too far out to sell it.

Why so low on Dobbins? Most rankings I see have him worth more than this years 1.01.

I like Dobbins a lot. It's just the potential 1.01 will grow so much in value over this season and especially next offseason, selling it now outside of an overpay is risky. Rookie fever gets crazy every year and if that pick turns into the 1.01, you are likely to have some big offers coming your way with patience. Again, Dobbins + one of the WR's, would get me to move that pick now, otherwise I would hold for the yearly price hike.
