Startup draft help

Postby Konehead94 » Thu May 06, 2021 10:46 am

Just started a 12 team 1 qb dynasty draft (2 flex, 3wr) and had the 10th overall pick. Went Justin Jefferson in the first round and wondering what a good strategy would be for the next could picks? Go rb with this pick and hammer wrs for the next few rounds? The BPA’s are Akers, dobbins, swift, Zeke, and a Jones at rb. Wrs left are diggs, lamb, Ridley, Mclaurin, and MT. All Tes are remaining as well. Any help would be appreciated thanks!
Qb: Dak, Tua, Deshaun Watson, Daniel Jones , heinecke

Rb: Saquon, Gibson, mostert, rojo, chase Edmonds,
Lynn Bowden, Michael Carter

Wr: Amari Cooper, Thielen, Keenan Allen, diontae Johnson, Robert woods, , Anthony Miller

TE: Fant, Herndon, Allie-Cox

Unless it is a start 2 RB league, I would be looking to pair another top end WR with Jefferson. If it is a start 2 RB, I think RB at the turn is the best way to go. I would be looking to go younger with Jefferson so Swift, Dobbins or Akers.

Lamb looks great matched with Jefferson but so does Ridley. Akers or Dobbins after looks good too.

I highly doubt those RB will be there late 3rd when they pick again. I think you have to take a RB now

Akers is going in the 1st in single QB adp and dobbins early 2nd so ya no chance they’re available late 3rd. If you double tap young wr you’re probably playing for 2022, more likely 2023 without some luck OR grabbing some older players with deflated values the next 5 or so rounds. Not saying there’s anything wrong with going rebuild right away, as long as you’re aware of it.

Personally I’d take Akers or swift or whatever rb you like best.

If you don't get one of the RBs now you won't next turn. Worst case, you can trade Dobbins, Swift or Akers for a solid young WR later.

I prefer Swift > Akers > Dobbins

As much as I like the idea of pairing JJ with another top WR, I agree with the mass that you should be looking at RB here. No way you get a top RB at your next pick. I prefer Akers out of those honestly.
