SF Rookie Draft OTC at 1.05

Postby boochluke » Thu May 06, 2021 4:16 am

Help I've got analysis paralysis! I can't decide who to take!

OTC at 1.05 in rookie draft first four picks:
Trevor
Fields
Lance
Harris

I can't decide between Wilson, Pitts, and Chase.

Just recently did a startup and went young, with a plan to compete later. Deep rosters but here are my notables:

QB: Herbert, Goff
RB: Gibson
WR: DJM, Mclaurin, Aiyuk, Jeudy, Pittman
TE: Fant, Albert O

League is 12tm SF PPR. 1QB, 2RB, 2 WR, 1TE, 2 flex, 1SF.

I also have 1.09
Who would you take given my team/strategy?

I'd snag Chase and hope pitts or a qb falls to you at 1.09 (since its not te prem)

Chase looks really good here, but Wilson is great value since you need to QB help.

Pitts or Wilson for me. I like Chase, but I think good WRs are easier to acquire. QB in SF is a strong pull but so is Pitts if he turns out to be the next great TE. I go Pitts due to rare talent and Wilson if you are playing it safe.

When close I always go QB in SF. Doesn't even need to be a top 10 to have great trade value.

Go Wilson at 1.05. One of etienne/williams/waddle/smith at should be there at 1.09

You get out of the first round with a starting QB and a top 2-3 rookie RB/WR. It’s superflex I always like to have 3 Starting Caliber QBs

Thanks for the advice everyone. I ended up giving the edge to the QB over Chase, hopefully he works out! I was able to get Javonte who was my target at 1.09 so I feel good about that. Cheers!

I'll be in the same boat with the 1.05 in one of my leagues and I will be taking one of the top 4 QBs if available (I can see a possibility of them going 1-4).
QBs are cheapest in the draft, so good call, imo, in taking Wilson. Like him or not, Wilson has at least 3 years as the starter, so his value is insulated. Goff could be one and done in DET.
As stated in an earlier post, WR is the easier position to acquire. If I don't have a QB available, I'm debating between Harris and Pitts. The top of the draft is 9 deep for me so a good marriage of value and need getting Javonte at 1.09.
