Aiyuk/Sermon vs Devonta Smith

Postby MTerry00 » Wed May 05, 2021 2:08 pm

Was just offered Aiyuk and Sermon for Smith. Don't really know what to expect out of either the Eagles or 49ers offenses this year but I suspect Smith will lead the eagles in targets at least. While Aiyuk will be the 2nd option at best and Sermon will be splitting time.

Thoughts?
10-team PPR Superflex

QB - Jackson, Burrow, Fields, Carr, Levis
RB - Bijan, J. Cook, Ekeler, K. Mitchell
WR - Jefferson, Nacua, Moore, Pickens, London, Downs, Kirk, W. Robinson, M. Wilson
TE - McBride, Woods

'24 Picks
1.04, 1.05, 1.10
2.03, 2.05
3.05, 3.09

I think the value is there to make this deal and Aiyuk showed very well last year, but I would hold and see how Smith pans out. I'm very high on Smith though, so...

Prefer aiyuk to smith slightly so this is a free sermon in my eyes.

Interesting, I expected this to be overwhelming for Aiyuk. Hes shown in the NFL what we hope Smith can be and he's a better size for an alpha WR.

Aiyuk over Smith and not close to me so Sermon is just icing on the cake

Preach Sermon!

You get an attractive WR in Aiyuk who played well last year. And you don't have to hope that Smith's game translates to the pro's. Easy accept for me.

I have Aiyuk and wouldn’t even trade him straight up for smith. I’m hesitant that smith even plays the full season. Hoping he does but it’s not super likely his body holds up. A lot of time normal size rookies don’t even last. Sermon is free here and then some. Aiyuk please.
