TEAM 2 in sig. Took Fields at 9, helped decide by you guys on here and at 10 Wilson was taken. A new leaguemate is from Chicago and ofc would like to have Fields. I've grown pretty high on Fields since the buzz died pre-draft and I'm not looking to trade him but this new guy who took over an orphan seems solid n if I can get a good deal I wouldn't mind trading 'down' to wilson.

He mentioned Mims, who im not too high on but would Mims and 3.3 be too much to ask for? I sent a 'test the water' offer but he said he didn't want to grossly overpay and I don't blame him.

Side note: I drafted Elijah Moore in the second also so after my suggested trade I'd really be in on that Jets offense, and not sure if that's a bad thing or possibly could turn into a positive.

I would ask for what it would take for you to move Fields comfortably. When any owner wants an asset, in my opinion that owner needs to come up with an offer that is too good to pass up if they really want to land an asset. I practice this when I really want to trade for someone, so I'm not trying to sound like a trade is to rip someone off.

I agree. If he is a Chicago guy he will be more motivated once Fields is starting.

Excellent advice my friends. I'm sure good news will come out of Bears camp, by Bears people. They need to Just-ify their pick right?? So not crazy to turn down Mims and 3.3 in this deep league format? After taking Javonte and Elijam Moore, I'm wondering if my skill positions are deep enough to make another run at the finals.

People get hung up on "ripping people off in trades" in cases like this where you don't necessarily need to trade away a player and someone else wants them you have every right to ask for more than equal value. If it's equal value why trade them away? The point of a trade is to improve your team. All that said I am willing to overpay for guys I like, I don't go in to every trade feeling like I have to get better value, I just have to get what I want, whether that is a player or value in return.
