Roethlisberger or Garoppolo late round SF startup

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Roethlisberger or Garoppolo late round SF startup

Postby Yostb » Tue May 04, 2021 12:34 pm

As title says - Who you taking in the teens of a SF startup? Ive got Cousins, Carr and Mac Jones so far. Roeth would give me a year of steady qb2 if Rodgers goes to LV and Cam holds onto job. Jimmy might not start more than a handful of games this year but I think he might land another starting gig somewhere. Whats the play? Or is it door #3 (opening day chalk starters left are Jimmy, Roeth, Fitzmagic, Dalton and Lock; rookies are Mond and Trask)?

Comes down to if you just want a plug and play or looking more long term. Garoppolo is the only choice long term between the two.

Like you mentioned, hopefully he lands somewhere in the future as a starter. Decent stash in SF.

Jimmy G should be able to earn a starting gig for 2022 if he can stay healthy this season.

Ended up shotgunning a bunch of mediocre/scrubs that will hopefully be carried by my rbs and kelce. Cousins, Carr, Mac Jones, Jimmy and Cam. Hopefully I can cobble together 2 starters every week out of that mess. I think I should be able to offset it with CMC, Taylor, Ekeler, Carson and Connor. Most teams went exact opposite with 2 stud qbs and bunch of gimps at rb.
