Orphan rebuild options - who to take with the 1.04?

Picked this orphan up just before last year's draft mostly because of CMC, Diggs, and a couple of other decent players. Traded Fuller for Josh Allen and Mike Williams and drafted Jeudy and Burrow. Losing CMC early last season put a kibosh on the year right off the bat. Mistakes on my part cost me a couple of wins and wound up at 5-8.

Looking at a couple of possible options and could use some advice - Our rookie draft starts this coming Saturday.

1) Stand pat, draft the BPA with the 1.04 and hope CMC is back to his old self. Thinking maybe Etienne or Williams as a RB pick or best WR. Pitts is interesting but I have Fant and Gesicki as it is.

2) Been offered a swap on my 1.04 for the 1.09 plus "something undecided". Right now he's offering his 2022 1st (probably late) but also wants my 2nd from next year back. Not thrilled with that option and would rather have one of his WR's from Kupp, Shenault or Diontae Johnson. He also has Davante Adams, Amari Cooper, Aiyuk, and Godwin but feel those are off limits.

3) Offer out CMC which pretty much kills me on RB right now but see what gets thrown back at me. I thought about offering one team CMC for his 1.05,1.06, and 1.08 which two trade analyzers say is a fair deal but his team also needs a lot of help. I don't know if he's willing to drop three unknown picks for a hopefully healthy CMC (he has very little at RB now). My 1.04 plus those three mid-1sts would get me some fresh ammo for a rebuild but maybe be looking at least a year away from any benefit.

Any thoughts?

I would hold and go BPA unless the 1.09 owner adds a really solid young prospect. This move trades you out of the elite tier and I feel this move needs to be well worth it for you.

I would make CMC available as you are likely multiple years out and even with how good he is, his value and production could easily be much different by the time you are hoping to make a run. That being said, I would not force anything and only move him if the value is great. If not, you could likely flip him in season for a haul as the year goes on or maybe your team surprises and you can use him for a hopeful playoff run. It never hurts to make a great asset available in a rebuild in case there is something out there that can really help long term. I would be cautious to move him for just picks however. I think picks and a known asset is a better way to go.

I've already told the offering team with the 1.09 that any of my choices for the 1.04 would be gone with his pick. Teaming Etienne or Williams with CMC would be interesting assuming either of them take over the lead back duties on their teams. I had a decent offer for JRob last month on team #1 and didn't accept but hindsight is always 20/20.

CMC for a couple of picks and a player would be an option and the league has a few active traders.

I may post CMC's availability on the league site and see if there are any solid offers. Otherwise, I'll stand pat with the 1.04. The 1.09 and a 1st round pick for 2022 doesn't excite me especially if he wants my 2nd back.

Underwhelming first offer. The pieces below Gibson don't do anything for me. Classical case of an owner trying to pack an offer with fluff so that it looks solid. Easy reject.

Not a great offer. CMC is worth a fair amount more. Gibson is a nice piece coming back but the other three do almost nothing.

Essentially four 1st round picks for CMC is pretty solid, but I wish the 1.09 brought you into the elite tier to really make this deal more intriguing.

I agree it's a pretty good offer and still allows me to keep my 1.04 pick as well as getting his 1.09.

While I was told another different offer was coming, I don't think that team has the ammo to make it work. So I have a couple of options and with our draft starting this weekend, I could use some input here.

1) Stand pat with CMC hoping he's like the 2019 version and see if I can slip into a late playoff spot. Anything can happen after that. The 1.04 might get me a slight chance at Etienne, Pitts, or Williams. I don't really need a TE but Pitts may be hard to refuse.

2) Make the trade and hope Sanders and Aiyuk play like former 1st round picks - again use the 1.04 on possibly Etienne, Pitts, or Williams, and figure on my choice of maybe Devonta, Waddle, Bateman or Moore for the 1.09 or

3) The 1.01 is on the block. Make the above deal and maybe offer the 1.04/1.09 for either Najee or Chase.

Brought this one back for one more shot with my draft starting tomorrow morning.

The CMC trade offer was pulled but is still actually available. Not sure about Sanders being an RB1 and if Aiyuk's year was the result of Kittle and Deebo being gone, but the 1.09 and 2022 late 1st add some extra ammo to the offer. It's just tough to trade CMC.

My question for now is - no matter what I do with CMC tomorrow, for team #4 with the 1.04 pick, I'm assuming my available choices will be probably ETN, Pitts, and Williams. Unless I get a good offer to trade down just a couple of spots, who out of that group helps this team the most or do I fall back on BPA?
