Chubb & Julio or Future 1sts (Poll)

Postby pmart33 » Thu Apr 22, 2021 12:58 pm

Team 4 in signature (SF TE Prem league) is a newly acquired orphan going through a tear down. I received the following offer:

Give: Chubb & Julio
Get: Parris Campbell 2.11, 2 2022 1sts & a 2023 1st

Is there enough value here to move Chubb and Julio?

Projecting picks is very risky, but where do you think the 2022 1sts will fall?

My gut tells me mid round for all 3 firsts, but of course a lot can happen between now and next year's draft, let alone 2 drafts from now.

I think the value is there in SF for a full rebuild. Jones price/value will continue to drop in the coming years. Chubb is worth a couple 1sts on his own. I don't think this is a must accept however and you could get more in season possibly if you want to hold and roll the dice.

I'd prefer to move Julio and hold Chubb here. Trading for picks next year and 2 years out I'd rather have the top rb. I think that if you make this move you look to sell off every asset here and most likely hold Dak unless someone overpays, hold Ruggs and OJ with their value being pretty low currently. Other than that if you make the deal then put the sale sign up on everyone.

Not sure if this changes your take or not, but I have already made the call that the for sale sign is up on everyone lol.

It feels low. I'd rather one of those 1sts be a younger player with upside, but I think you should still take it before those guys lose more value

The for sale sign is good but don't let them lowball you. If you aren't competitive for a year or two...Julio has to go. Chubb is only 25 and could still be useful 2 or 3 seasons down the line. If you move him make sure there is no discount.

Surprised people think this is close. Poor offer IMO, should get 3 1sts this year for those 2.

This is tough, its pretty close to value in SF imo, maybe a little low, but it can be super tough to find a team that has the right pick/player package that is willing to buy older assets to compete. Julio gets hurt and you are hard pressed to even get a 1st for him. Chubb has some good years left but is still sharing a backfield with Hunt, I think most would value Chubb around 2 1sts in SF and Campbell, 2.11 and 22 1st is pretty solid offer for Julio. Unless you really want to risk holding out til the season starts and hope the players don't lose value, I think it close enough that I would probably take this deal. Honestly if you make this deal, I would be shopping everyone else on your team except Dak and Ruggs and go all in on the rebuild.

2 1sts for Chubb is not the same as a 22 and 23 1st though for Chubb though. 1sts 2 years out are not worth the same 2021 1sts.

Normally I would agree with this. But when you are rebuilding, there really isn’t much difference between a 2021 1st vs 2022 1st. Except that 2022 1sts are much easier to acquire. That said, it still feels light. If you could replace Campbell, 2023 1st and the 2.11 with a young upside piece (or a better pick) I’d be more interested. I’d also be looking to sell everyone but Dak.

There should be a difference, there is for me anyways. If I get a 21 1st I can usually flip for a 22 1st+ if I want to push them out a year, I just think Chubb is worth that package himself and he’s giving away Julio here.
