Startup Best Ball PPR Draft

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

I wouldnt say this in a dynasty because he is a little older but I think I would consider taking him along with all the obvious ones mentioned
Not before Kittle though. Waller is likely there on the next turn
I would agree with you in dynasty, but not in redraft. Compare those 2 players stats for the last 2 years. You may be surprised what you see and find a hidden gem for yourself come your next redraft if you do those also. I want that advantage for a 1 yr team.

Like I said I would love to have kittle over my waller in my dynasty, just not in a redraft.
I guess, but you'd be banking on Kittle getting hurt again. His per game numbers are right with Wallers. Either way, I'm not taking either guy in the 2nd round

Ya and best ball would make me less likely to take them early as well. Can throw 3 later TEs at the position and hope one scores each week.

At what point do you guys consider Mahomes in this format (since we know he'll have some huge games) Right now there are 4 picks before my next 2 selections at 3.12 and 4.1. Best available are
QB: Mahomes
RB: Sanders, Robinson, Etienne, Javonte Williams, Jacobs
WR: A Rob, Evans, Cooper, Godwin
TE: Andrews, Hock, Fant

The 4 teams that pick before me, 2 have 2 RBs and 2 have 2WRs, so guessing we'll see 2 RBs and 2 WRs come off the board (unless someone takes Mahomes)...what's the play here?

Draft So Far
1st: CMC, Cook, Kamara, Henry, Barkley, Taylor, Kelce, Adams, Hill, Jones, Elliott, Chubb

2nd: Diggs, Akers, Ekeler, Hopkins, Metcalf, Swift, Jefferson, AJB, Kittle, Mixon, Ridley, Thomas

3rd: Waller, Keenan Allen, Gibson, Dobbins, McLaurin, Najee Harris, CEH, 3.8 OTC

Quick rb double tap for me with those guys falling. I get the Mahomes idea but to me I’d rather just grab 3 QBs much later in a best ball.

So I took ETN at the 3.12...now trying to decide the 4.1 selection

Roster so far:
Chubb, ETN
Diggs

Best available: Mahomes, Javonte Williams or Montgomery, Godwin, Cooper, Julio

Who should my 4.1 pick be?

I took Mahomes (ETN was my 3.12 pick so only had 1 pick there)

I like to "wait" on QBs, but felt Mahomes was too good in this format, you know he'll have a few HUGE games. Thanks everyone

Curious why you think Mahomes is better in a best ball format? In a standard format you get those big games too and you get a guaranteed edge over opponents locking in 1 qb every week. In best ball they get to have 3 QBs to throw out there and only need 1 to pop each week.

To be fair every position is like that but to me qbs score enough you can get away with 3 lesser ones whereas RBs fall off drastically. I don’t hate the pick because I don’t want the other RBs here anyways (i would’ve gone wr here) I’m just curious your thoughts on why Mahomes is better in this format.
