This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Startup Best Ball PPR Draft

Postby Buckhill Bombers » Wed Apr 21, 2021 6:04 pm

OTC with the 4.1 pick.

Roster so far:
Chubb, ETN
Diggs

We start 1qb, 2rb, 3wr, 1te, 1reg flex

Would you take Mahomes, Javonte Williams or Monty at RB, or Godwin or Cooper at WR?

Jones and chubb for sure but I doubt they’re there, maybe Chubb or zeke. The stats seem to show hammering rb early in these best balls is the way to go and draft a bunch of WRs to make up for it. That said if those RBs are gone and hill is there I’d take him.

Ceh Mixon will be long gone before the next turn I imagine. Jacobs being there is possible with how deflated he is right now, great but low there if he makes it back but I doubt that too. Rb will be a wasteland on your 3/4 picks.

Akers, Swift, Chubb and Gibson are all RB I'd consider there. It depends on the next few picks though. I'm not sure I could turn down 2 of AJB/DK/Tyreek/Jefferson

I just saw redraft? In that case I see why you'd consider aaron jones as well and I'd definitely lean more towards RB or even 2 if that's the case

Chubb, Jones or a top WR all seem like good options. If you are looking long term, I would go with a top WR for shelf life.

Well this is a redraft keep in mind. And here's the update, I'm on deck

CMC, Cook, Kamara, Henry, Barkley, Taylor, Kelce, Adams, Hill, A Jones, 1.11 OTC

So I'm not a Zeke believer but if I went RB I'd have Akers/Chubb/Swift/Gibson and still have Metcalf/Hopkins/Diggs/AJB/Jefferson

*I'm so used to dynasty that this being redraft I probably shouldn't be considering Jefferson though right?

In redraft I am going Zeke, at WR I would be going Hopkins.

Zeke was drafted at 1.11....

So Chubb and Akers or Chubb and Diggs? Right now leaning towards Chubb and Diggs??

Looking at the best ball I did a couple weeks ago, 3-4 turn you’re looking at Montgomery or no rb unless someone falls (Harris etienne were both gone).

I’d go Chubb Mixon actually but I’m higher on Mixon, I’d be fine with Chubb Akers. Diggs stands out but puts you scrambling for rb whereas wr on the 3-4 still has guys like allen Arob mclaurin cooper Moore evans potentially available.

in a redraft I would consider waller also and I didnt see anyone mention him. He is a huge positional advantage. I wouldnt say this in a dynasty because he is a little older but I think I would consider taking him along with all the obvious ones mentioned

RBs - Nick Chubb, Derrick Henry/Tayjae Spears, Austin Ekeler/ Isaiah Spiller, Josh Kelly, Alvin Kamara/Kendre Miller, Rico Dowdle, Ty Johnson, Latavius Murray, Zack Moss, Tyler Goodson, Trey Sermon, Dernest Johnson
WRs -Rashee Rice.Gabriel Davis, Keenan Allen, Chris Godwin, Noah Brown, Adam Theilen, Russel Gage, Xavier Gipson,

Not before Kittle though. Waller is likely there on the next turn

So I did go Chubb and Diggs. Here is an update on the draft so far...

CMC, Cook, Kamara, Henry, Barkley, Taylor, Kelce, Adams, Hill, Jones, Elliott, Chubb

Diggs, Akers, Ekeler, Hopkins, Metcalf, Swift, Jefferson, 2.8 OTC

So far 2 teams that went WR,WR, 2 teams that went RB,RB, and 3 teams that went RB/WR or RB/TE....

I would agree with you in dynasty, but not in redraft. Compare those 2 players stats for the last 2 years. You may be surprised what you see and find a hidden gem for yourself come your next redraft if you do those also. I want that advantage for a 1 yr team.

Like I said I would love to have kittle over my waller in my dynasty, just not in a redraft.

Nice, the WRs are going earlier than The draft I did, maybe a rb falls to you in the 3rd.
