Big Time TE Help

Postby PigeonBoys » Wed Apr 21, 2021 8:27 am

I hope you can sense the sarcasm as this is a depth question. I’ve got Gerald Everett available in my league and I’m still holding onto hope for Njoku. Is Njoku worth hanging onto considering Everett’s upside in the Seattle offense? As a Higbee owner Everett has been a headache but he has always flashed when given the opportunity. I guess I Njoku could still be traded but we’ve heard this song and dance before.

Based on your TE room, I think Everett has more upside than Njoku in the immediate and makes the most sense to drop based on your other options. I'm not a Shepard fan at all, but I'm not sure he is droppable.

Drop Njoku and go ahead and drop another TE too. You don't need 4 TEs when you need to start only 1.

I completely agree, honestly I feel silly rostering as many as I do. I just have not had great luck with my TEs breaking out, got super lucky with Tonyan last year but we know his efficiency from last year is not sustainable. I feel like between Tonyan, Higbee, and Hooper someone has to be startable but this how I’ve felt the last two years. TE is such a crapshoot these days...

I'd have no issue dropping Everett or Njoku

I prefer Everett over Njoku, but I wouldn't bother rostering 4 TEs here either way. I feel silly holding 3 in my sig league but am only doing so because I essentially got Waller for free in a deal and think Smith will make a jump so I can have a little TE pipeline going LOL.
