Ridley for CEH offer

Postby ff330 » Mon Apr 19, 2021 12:05 pm

Team 1 in sig

Was offered last night Ridney and his 2.06 for CEH and my 1.07. First off, it's a bit light on his side for me and second, I can't see dropping out of the 1st round where I still might be able to get one of the tier 2 WR's like Bateman or Rondale. Obviously WR is my weak spot on that team which finished 8-5 in a 3-way tie for 5th place.

He has little behind Damien Harris at RB but Ridley is his #1 WR. This is the owner who offered my his 1.02 for Jacobs the night before the Drake signup with Raiders came about which I didn't accept quick enough. He has also offered my his 1.09 and 2.08 for CEH earlier.

I don't think Jacobs workload falls as far as some have predicted and still feel he's worth an early 1st but ever since Drake's addition, the other owner has gotten cold feet about his 1.02 offer.

I need a #1 WR and not sure if Ridley is 1a or 1b to Julio for the next year or two, but wanted to get some feedback here.

I’m very high on Ridley but think his offer is a little light too. You should definitely get one of Bateman/Moore/Waddle with the 1.07. May even have your choice of those with Pitts and Williams moving up the boards. I’d hold over the current offer.

I'm a huge Ridley guy and worry a bit about CEH despite where he plays. That being said, I think the offer is a bit lopsided based on the scarcity of RB's and CEH's age. I would rather have Ridley straight up, but I think the ask is a bit much based on all factors. I don't think you are a contender either way, so this does come down to who you like more moving forward if you could rework the deal a bit also.

Always appreciate your comments Gator. You answer a lot of questions on the site.

I agree that straight up, the deal is slightly biased in my favor but with the scarcity of top RB's I think I would rather hold and hope for the 1.07 to give me something back. Not sure if Pitts would slip that far in this league since we can play a 2nd TE in one of our flex spots but Bateman or maybe Javonte Williams could drop to #7.

My other option would be to throw out his original offer of the 1.02 for Jacobs and see what he says. Our draft is one week after the NFL's.Right now Jacobs, CEH, and JRob would be my starters (one of them in flex #1) but the 1.02 would get me either Chase or Harris as a nice replacement.

I'm happy to try and help!

I prefer Chase to Jacobs easily and depending on landing spots, I would say the same for Harris. If you could move Jacobs for the 1.02, I think that would be nice value. I still think Jacobs is a good piece long term, but I'm not sure he will ever be a pure lead back either. Brining in Drake calls into Las Vegas's belief in him a bit or they are trying to keep his milage down.

I would prefer CEH/1.07 to Ridley/2.06. It’s much tougher to nail down RB production than WR in general, and I just can’t see adding the draft capital gap on top here.

As for Jacobs, 1.02 would be a big W for you there IMO.
