Pat Mahomes Trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

I'm guessing this is how you drafted. It's not bad. You can def compete. Add a Najee/Etienne in there. Depth lacks but it is OK. I would try to land a 2nd starting Q with Lockett/Woods + if you can manage it. Another option could be taking Q at 1.2 and BA RB at 2.03 + 2.06

1 Herbert
2 JT
3 Godwin
4 Allen
5 Andrews
6 Woods
7 Lockett
8 Harris
9 Pollard
10 Moss

Solid draft. Problem with startups is there is normally a few teams that go all in right away. I dont see this team beating teams that end up or already have done that. That said, there is a bit of an identity crisis. You've drafted WRs that are win now guys (allen, lockett, woods). As of now you don't have the QBs or RBs to pair with those WRs. If I were you Id really think about choosing a direction now. Do you want to win now? Maybe keep Herbert and trade the 1.02 for an established vet QB. And maybe pair your 2nd with a 2022 1st to move up in this draft to grab a RB. Decide you want to punt this year? Maybe make the Mahomes deal and try moving woods and lockett for picks.

3 of your 4 WR are depreciating assets though. I would be attempting to rebuild. Mahomes, JT, 1.2, Godwin, Andrews is a nice core. I'd be moving Lockett and Woods also
Rebuild!?!?!

I legit just drafted the team. I was thinking I adds fields to the group and my weakness (RB2 (treating as a flex)) could def get me through the season.
You are in the team advice section, don't be too surprised. It's a fine team, just not a strong one and missing some key elements

Safe to say that I wouldn't have drafted most of the players you did in a startup. Hard to say though without knowing who was available and when. Good luck
Oh don't take it the wrong way, I am grateful for the outside viewpoint. Honestly was thinking quite the opposite, so maybe a dose of reality isn't a bad thing. That being said, I asked for a WR in return for Allen and Herbert. He responded with Mahomes and Shenault. Should I push for Jeudy?

Jeudy would be a great add if you can get it done!

Very close, RB went early fast.

1 JT
2 Jackson
3 Prescott
4 Godwin
5 Allen
6 Andrews
7 Lockett
8 Harris
9 Pollard
10 Moss

I had the 1.07 draft pick and was offered every pick (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. 5th. 6th. 7th) in next year draft to trade it. Thought value was too good. So I did. (1st mistake)

Got offered 1.02, Woods, 2022 1st, and 2.11 for Jackson. (Not a big fan of Jackson and really like Fields) (2nd mistake)

Was offered 2.3 and Justin Herbert for Dak Prescott and 2.11. Like Herbert almost as much as Prescott. Thought that was a win.

I read some of the responses but not all but want to point out if you’re trying to compete with that roster this year you can’t make this trade, you already have no depthas others have noted. You could compete but you’d have to move your picks for a vet qb and rb IMO. I’d make the trade using Allen and look for a quick rebuild to compete in 2022.

So I was offered Jalen Hurts and the 1.04 for J Taylor.

Would you pull that trigger filling the 2nd QB need and go Harris, then Williams at 1.4?

I'd want a better QB than Hurts coming back for Jonathan Taylor.

Also thinking about offering 1.2 for Cousins and Carson. Fill my needs at once, though both aging players.

I think that puts you firmly in the better win now category. Doubt you will get much return down the road for either asset, so it's probably a decision I wouldn't make until I absolutely knew I could make a run.

Coming off a startup, its risky to do. Almost every team will have a comparable team, and someone will hit on a few late rounders. Pair that with an injury or two and you are sunk.

Always hard to judge a roster when you don't know the full scope of the league, but in a vacuum your team is not quite a competitor. Try not to take feedback negatively, we are just sharing an unbiased opinoin. You have one startable RB and QB, tough to compete with that.
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

If you can get Pat Mahomes in Superflex for Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen...great deal!

Godwin and Herbert
for Mahomes and Jeudy?

Should I proceed?
I still like the deal, but would push for Allen being the piece over Godwin. I would even add something small-ish to get it done with Allen.
