I agree with ^ about the other team needing to be bad, but I’d need them to be real bad... JT to me is considerably better than swift, especially in .5 ppr. Detroit is a dumpster fire and I anticipate swift will lose some workload to j Williams, especially through the air

I like both of these guys a ton, but it would take more than that to pry Taylor away from me.

I like JT better, but I also like Swift. And I think it's very feasible that Swift is the better fantasy player long term, and possibly even this season.

I think I'd be happy to chance a swap knowing I'm getting a 1st rounder back to ease any risk. It would help if the pick was projected to be top6, but I think that I'd take a lower projection.

Looking at the '21 draft for comparison -- if it's 1.04, you might get Smith/Waddle/Pitts/Javonte. If it's 1.07 you might get most of the same. Even at 1.10 you'd have some very good options. Now the question becomes, is JT>Swift+Waddle or Swift+Pitts or Swift+Javonte or Swift+Moore/Bateman? Some will say DEFINITELY, I say POSSIBLY

I'd think long and hard, but I think I'm making this trade.
TEAM 1:
12 Team ppr w/20 keepers - start 1QB 2RB 3WR 1TE 1FLX 6IDP 1DEF
QB: Tua, Lamar, Levis

TE: Goedert, Friermuth
DEF: Cowboys, Ravens

IR: Mike Williams (WR), Joey Bosa (DL)
2023 & 2022 Champion: 2020 third place: 2019 Champion

TEAM 2:

I would absolutely take Swift and the first here. It’s not outlandish to think Swift matched Taylor in production for years. Maybe even out produce him. People are freaking losing their minds on Taylor and yea he put together a good rookie season but really let’s hold our horses here and look at the actual value of the trade. Swift was actually the highest rated RB by many last year and still produced well too. I’d take the good player and future first over a good player when the players are both in the same boat talent wise and how much they have proved.
10 team league....16 offensive keepers selected by April first. 28 man rosters during the season. 1 keeper defense and 1 keeper kicker.

.5 ppr, TE premium +.5, .2 return yards, big play bonuses, 4 team playoffs and 2 week super bowl (wk 15,16).
Start 1 QB 6 pt passing TD, 2 RBs, 3 WR, 1 flex, 1 TE.

QBs- Dak P
RBs- miles sanders, CEH, Najee Harris, Antonio gibson, James robinson, Boston Scott, qadree ollison, eno Benjamin, Sony michel, kerryon Johnson, gerrid Doaks, Larry rountree,
WRs- Brandon aiyuk, shenault, Adam thielen, Antonio brown, kadarius Toney, Jacobi Meyers, Dwayne eskridge, jalen Darden.

TEs- Goedert, fant, Hayden hurst, Dan Arnold, Donald parham

Getting the 1st on top is really solid value as these two second year backs are somewhat close. Both have a bright future and huge upside. I can see holding based on Taylor having a three down back build, but the value is there. Swift with a different staff could be a completely different player this year.

Agree. Imagine if the first ends up being early. You get Swift and top player next year that’s a nice combo. It’s not like you’re giving up Taylor for just unknown rookies. Swift is talented and likely a lead back with just as much 3 down potential.

I am keeping Taylor here with no guarantee of the 1sts position in the draft and uncertainty as to what the class even looks like. There are certainly differing opinions and I know it's the same dance every year, but the consensus seems to be that 2022 will be fairly top heavy.

Where do you feel they fall in RB order? Personally I don’t see a gap really in talent. I would be surprised if Taylor was the outright more valued asset next year. I bet they will still be very close in the dynasty eyes and that first is a nice red cherry on top. Be feeling pretty good about that trade if Swift outscores Taylor year two. Def could happen.

If he moves it to a 2021 1st I'm all in here. If he doesn't make it a 2021 1st I'd wanted something else added on top here, possibly a 21' 2nd rd pick.

Boy this is close. If the 1st is top half of the round I'm taking Swift. If it's going to be something like the 1.090-1.12 I'm passing. If you aren't sure where it will land I'm keeping Taylor.

I am clearly a bit higher on JT and lower on Swift than you are, but that is certainly with the range of outcomes. Of course there are always going to be some variations in responses here based on personal feelings about a given player. I have JT in my top 3-4 dynasty RB's and Swift closer to the 9-10 range. For me a future random 1sts isn't worth that drop. 1sts are no grantee and their value fluctuates wildly based on their position and quality of draft class. Hell the community feelings on this draft class have declined wildly and 2022 doesn't look to be a strong one at the moment. That being said I reiterate that if it was guaranteed early, I would likely lean the Swift side.

I'm probably taking Swift and the 1st, provided it doesn't look like the team will finish in the top few. Otherwise, I'd ask him for the 2nd too which you could probably get if they're sending the offer to you (because they want JT).

People are overlooking the fact that IND uses Hines for a lot of their passing back duties and those PPR points will most surely go to Swift in DET, who is much quicker and nimble than Jamaal Williams, who I see more as a relief RB than an an actual threat to elite production.
