move up in draft?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

move up in draft?

Postby SteveMaddensShoes » Tue Apr 13, 2021 5:19 pm

Team and league in sig. 11 starters, SF, big TE Prem.

Draft is still a few weeks away. Would it be worth trying to move up to 1.06 with the 1.09 and 2.02? I'd be giving up something like Waddle or Batemon + a Rondale Moore type combo for a chance at a top 3 QB, Etienne, Harris, Chase or Pitts.

Trade partner is rebuilding and needs more dart throws.

Chase, Lamb, Waddle, Olave, London Drake, Demario Davis, Jake Bobo

Kyle Pitts, Mark Andrews, Kincaid, Schoonmaker

24 picks - 1x2, 3,4,5

Team 2-
12 man SF, .25ppc, .5ppr rbs, 1 ppr wr, 1.5 ppr TE

Can you move up with a lesser 2nd? Either way, it's not bad to get into the top 6

I've got 2.03, 2.08 and 2.10 so I could try one of those first but I doubt it will work. Maybe the 2.03 would work.

Trying with a later 2nd certainly helps the value.

I think I'd hold for 2.02 or 2.03. would do it with 8 or 10.

I don't think the difference between 6 and 9 is all that much... It really depends on who falls to 6... If it was Chase I'd say do it with any 2nd. But no guarantee there. I'm assuming 9 would be Bateman or Smith (maaaaybe one of Harris/ETN)

Starting 11 there’s no way I’d pay up to move up 3 spots there. Looks like depth is huge in this league.

I'd try to move up for one of the elite guys. Remember, once the draft happens there could easily be a player or two who rises into the top 5 who you didn't predict pre-draft. Clyde is the perfect example last season. I think you'd get an elite talent at 6 and 9 will be more of a dart throw. Figure Lawrence, Fields, Harris, Chase, Etienne, Pitts (or Javonte) is where I'd be looking to cash in. Next 3 will be Javonte, second tier of QBs and those Bama WRs who have question marks when it comes to size. RB would be a nice add for you and I don't think you get one of the big 3 at #9 although it'll be close.

This is exactly my thought process but

"Starting 11 there’s no way I’d pay up to move up 3 spots there. Looks like depth is huge in this league." - Mt33 is exactly my concern

I'd lead in with one of the lower 2nds, but I'd make the deal with 2.03 if I had to. 1.06 puts you in the top tier non-QBs, so would be worthwhile IMO.
