Parker vs. Mooney

Postby SteelersX6 » Tue Apr 13, 2021 2:48 am

I am working on a deal in a 14 team all flex (2 superflex) PPR league and was hoping to get some feedback. I've offered Devante Parker for Darnell Mooney and the other team wants me to add something to push the deal through. I was going to throw in a 2022 3rd rounder to see if that makes it happen. Just wondering if you think that is too much for Mooney.

I am trying to trade Parker while there is still some value. He is 28 and will almost certainly see a diminishing role with Fuller and a likely early round WR added to the mix. Also, when Tua was in at QB for Fitz last season, that really seemed to affect Parker's production in a negative way.

Even though Parker is currently ranked a fair amount ahead of Mooney in just about every dynasty rankings list I've read, I think Mooney is a player on the rise. His age along with his ascending role in the Bear's offense (particularly if Miller is traded) makes him worth it, IMO. Is adding a 3rd rounder with Parker too much? Would you consider adding even more if the trade is not accepted? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'd rather have Mooney but would not add much on top. A 2022 3rd on a 14 teamer isn't much

Sell parker now for whatever you can. No one in my league is buying him. I’m stuck with him till he is laid to rest.

Mooney for me. Parker is simply not worth much at all and I would rather have the years and hope.

I definitely wouldn't add to Parker for Mooney. I'm not sure Mooney ever does anything of note, though I do have him in one league.

I sold him a few days ago. Its a wise decision on your part to move him now. If you have a "my guy" trust your instincts it seems to be on the right track.

I don't know much about Mooney though... haven't looked. Would try Bryan Edwards or Gabe Davis, maybe Kirk or somebody first, but they're all around the same range and matter of personal opinion.

The trade above did not happen but I was able to move Parker and a 2022 4th Round Pick for the 2.08 this year and Mason Rudolph. Being this is an all flex format with 2 a super flex spot, I figured Rudolph was worth the dart throw.

I am from Pittsburgh and know how much the Steelers believe Rudolph could be their QB of the future. Not saying it's gonna happen but they aren't really in position to draft Ben's replacement this year and, as it stands right now, Rudolph would be the likely starter next season (pending his resigning with them).

A lot of things can change in that time but, I am okay with getting the 2.08 for a 28 year old WR who's production dropped significantly when Tua was in at QB over Fitz and who is probably going to be pushed further down the Dolphin's depth chart by Fuller and any WRs that they acquire early in the draft. If by some chance, Rudolph becomes the starter in Pittsburgh, that will make this deal a slam dunk for me, IMO. Any thoughts?
