Herbert or Burrow?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Herbert or Burrow?

Postby joeday » Mon Apr 12, 2021 11:09 am

For one of my more competitive dynasty terms I have Joe Burrow and Carson Wentz as my QBs. Would you trade Burrow for Herbert or just hold off and let Burrow develop?

If someone came to you with that trade, I'd ask for a small add. I do like Hebert straight up though

Both are solid assets. The value is likely on the Herbert side currently with Burrow going down last year. I prefer Burrow straight up, but if something was added to Herbert, I think they are pretty even and could see making the move.

I'd probably take Herbert at this point due to health and I trust San Diego just a little bit more than Cincy to take care of him. It's close though.

I prefer Burrow but they are so close IMO. Value is probably on Herbert side straight up after last year but Herbert stepped into a playoff ready team where Burrow stepped into the worst team in the league.

I saw them fairly even until one had an amazing year and the other tore his ACL. People can come back from that but why gamble if we get to choose!!!

Matter of preference really, but I'd take Herbert straight up.

Burrow for me, but with how Herbert played I wouldn’t expect to get much on top of him in a trade. If you can get Herbert+ it could be a good value move for you and worth investigating.
If you can do Herbert straight up, take whichever QB you personally value more highly.
If the other owner is looking for Burrow+, then easy call for you to end discussions and stay put.

Herbert for me. He looks like the next Aaron Rodgers type of QB, Burrow looked good too, before the injury so it’s not like they are far apart, either way.

Herbert for me. Both will be good but I like the shootout division of the AFC West more than the punishing AFC North. Herbert gets great weather too... just little things that are worth considering.

Both QBs pass the eye test. Over their careers they'll probably be pretty similar when you stretch it out. But right now it's gotta be Herbert. Such an impressive season last year it's hard to deny the immediate pay off now and in the future.
