SF/TEP Targets at 1.03 and 1.05

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

SF/TEP Targets at 1.03 and 1.05

Postby PPE82 » Mon Apr 12, 2021 10:18 am

Team in sig.

SF, heavy TE premium (2ppr), flexible lineups

What do you think are my targets at 1.03 and 1.05?

You have a nice upside/young WR core and your QB's are in good shape overall. I would still go BPA in the draft to maximize value or look to trade back if you think you can help your team overall by going that direction. RB is a big need for you and the same could be said for TE depending how much of a premium there is. Harris should be there at the 1.03 but I would still lean BPA or trying to find an overpay deal.

With 2ppr for TEs, I’d say the choice here is pretty easily two of Fields, Wilson, Lance and Pitts. Take whoever you like best that is there at 3 and whoever is left at 5. I’d prob take Pitts 3 knowing you get one of those QBs at 5.
You do look like you could use RB help though, and maybe some extra depth. Your best move may be trading back or out of one of the picks if you can find someone willing to pony up for it.

I’m sorry to bust out some forum platitudes here, but BPA, draft for value, trade for need. If the best value on the board doesn’t fit a need, I would look for the best way to leverage it to trade. During draft/rookie hype season, my experience is the best time to trade back from a pick is just before your draft starts or OTC.

Whether or not someone views QB or TE as BPA at 1.03, there sure seems to be enough hype around Wilson and Pitts (so doesn’t really matter which of Fields or Wilson goes 1.02) that someone would be willing to pay up to move up, so I would look for a nice haul to move back from this pick if possible.

Looking at your roster, I would go Pitts at 1.3 & then a RB at 1.5.

In the SF/2PPR for TE, I have Pitts as the #3 guy after Lawrence and Fields pre draft.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...
