1.01 SF Decision

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

1.01 SF Decision

Postby Patcakess » Mon Apr 12, 2021 7:56 am

Am I overthinking this? SF

Traded for Dak last season after his injury
Just traded for Lamar (Gave up Sam Darnold as main piece lol)
Still have Wentz, who I think still has some solid years

RBs:
Joe Mixon
Jonathon Taylor
Henderson
J Jackson
Hines

Should the 1.01 for my team be the obvious Trevor Lawrence and try to flip a QB in a trade or should I go with Najee to help my RB core?
95% of me says get the QB and figure out the RB situation later.
This is an empire league so when someone wins twice we start over anyways.

I would still go Lawrence here. He is the best asset based on the format and his value will likely be pretty wild on the trade market throughout the year but more next offseason. You could explore trading back also, but I would want a pretty massive overpay. I would be thrilled in SF to have: Jackson, Prescott and Lawrence and this makes Wentz a great depth piece or expendable when another team needs a QB this season via trade.

Lawrence is the move. If you can move 1.01 for kings ransom do that. If not, move Dak or Lamar

Mahomes, Lawrence
Najee, Swift, Javonte, Jamaal W, Murray
DK, DJM, Juju, Jameson, Gallup, Van
Pitts, Friermuth
1.01, 1.04, 1.11, 1.12, 3.10, 2 firsts next year

Team 2: 12 Team, SF TEP (1.5 PPR)
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flex, 1 SF

DK, AJB, Ridley, McLaurin, Kupp, Landry, Mims, Hamler, Miller, Johnson, Robinson

Unless someone is overpaying for that pick, draft BPA. Lawrence is the easy answer here - You can always move him for a need later down the road, and get appropriate value.
12 TEAM SUPERFLEX, TE Premium, 25 man rosters
QB - | Rodgers | Herbert | Mills
RB - CMC | Chubb | Dobbins | Keaontay Ingram
WR - McLaurin | Deebo | Waddle | Gabriel Davis | Elijah Moore | Mooney | C Ridley | Jameson Williams | Pickens | Alec Pierce | Wan'dale Robinson | Justyn Ross | B Edwards
TE - M Andrews | Friermuth

2023 Picks: 1st round(2), 2nd round(2), 3rd round (2)

The crucial missing piece of info here is league size. If it’s 12+ teams, the obvious answer is to take Lawrence or trade down. If it’s 10 teams or fewer, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with taking Najee at 1.01.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

🦬PRIME🦬
QB: Hurts, Howell
RB: Mixon, Jones, Sanders, Dobbins, Akers, Roschon, Dowdle, Kelley
WR: Nuk, Godwin, Cooper, Lockett, Flowers, Chark, Collins, Hollins, Tillman, Tolbert
TE: Hockenson, Chig, Trautman
Taxi: Willis, Z. White, M. Mims, T. Palmer

Hull Awaits
$450 cap, 60 contract years

QB: Lawrence $5/3, Richardson $5/5, Minshew $1/0, Jones $1/0, Heinicke $1/0, Tyrod $1/0
RB: Achane $4/4, Warren $2/4, Roschon $7/5, Dillon $4/1, Hubbard $2/1, Kelley $1/0
WR: Nuk $78/1, MT $25/1, M. Williams $1/0, JSN $21/5, Reed $4/5, Rice $4/5, M. Wilson $2/5
TE: Thomas $1/0, Hill $1/0, Parham $1/0

I think the call is either Lawrence or trade back/out, regardless of league size. But I don’t have Harris as the clear RB1 of this class(or even the RB1 of this class), so that may play into it some. Still, the Lawrence hype and love is so big, even if you aren’t a huge fan, I’d think someone in your league is and would be willing to pay up for him.

I have mahomes and murray and I am still taking tlaw here. Too much value to pass up. I have no problem trading down, but it has to be worth it.
