Adams Vs. 1.01 in 1QB

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Adams Vs. 1.01 in 1QB

Postby pmart33 » Mon Apr 12, 2021 6:18 am

In a vacuum, what is the gap between Adam and the 1.01 in a 12 team 1QB PPR league? Which side should add and how much?

its a tough sell either way. 1.1 thinks they are getting the next adams. the adams owner thinks they're getting the next adams.... i think adams is more valuable to certain teams than others. i turned down adams for lamb, and then akers for kamara....then the package. i truly believe the better plays for 2021 were kamara and adams....but just dont think that team had a 3rd rb or the dependable wr depth to make a run in 2021.

i certainly would not add to adams if i was going after 1.1 in a 1qb. maybe a straight swap would work. if i owned the 1.1 and wanted adams...not sure id add much of any thing there either.

Adams is likely getting less in return than he should in certain leagues because of his age which is unfair. Adams is the best fantasy WR and is worth well more then the 1.01 based on what he brings to a lineup. I'm a firm believer in that Tyreek Hill has the highest ceiling among any asset in fantasy, but based on last year, that could easily be Adams.

I would need a solid startable player or two on top of the 1.01 to move Adams in that scenario. If my lineup is already stacked and I can't get skill position upgrades back, then I'm sticking with Adams and cruising to another title 😎

The odds of hitting on a rookie pick suck overall. I think the conversation starts at 3 #1's
I've been thinking about dealing Adams lately. Giving up 1300-1400 yards and 18 TD is pretty hard to replace. I have a dream trade scenario where I trade him for Lamb, 1.1, 1.4, 1.5. Even then, those picks still scare me.

I’d want more than the 1.01. Adams still has a few years left in his prime and is a guaranteed top 5 WR. Rookies carry bust potential

No, no, and no! Adams for me is in the category of "big overpay needed to move."

I would think the minimum price for Adams would be around 1.01 and another 1st no later than 1.06 either this year or 2022. Or 1.01, a late 1st (or very early 2nd), and a player who would definitely start for my team.

Some might trade him for less, but that's what I would hold out for. If the other guy didn't want to give that price, I'd be pleased to keep the #1WR for another three/four seasons.

Punch that in the trade calc. 834 to 2336...certainly a dream trade scenario.

Op, after reading the responses... I checked the trade calc here at dlf, looks like 1.1 and an early 2nd (12 teamer) is a fair trade if you and your partner are looking for fair value.

In a vacuum I'd take Adams, but I could easily see trading him away too. I've seen several wide receivers leave Aaron Rodgers and go from fantasy superstars to regular mortals. I'm not too keen on Adams in dynasty.

I gave Adams last offseason for 1.01 and what turned out to be the 1.07 this year. I thought it was fair, then Adam’s went out and produced like Adams again.
