Ride one or two more seasons with Brady or take Tua for a spin?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Ride one or two more seasons with Brady or take Tua for a spin?

In one of my leagues I am resigned to having to keep Tom Brady...would you consider trading Brady for Tua (making Tua your QB1) or just ride with TB12?

If you are a top 3 team, I'd ride another year with TB12. If you are middle of the pack or lower, I'd gamble on Tua. Brady is such an outlier... he has to fall off the cliff soon but he keeps defying the odds.

If contending, easily Brady. If you are rebuilding or looking like a middle of the pack team, I could see Tua, but I think he is pretty risky long term.

I would go with the youth in this one. Brady is like 17 seasons older than Tua. It is a short term gamble, but 17 years.....

I'd probably do it... And be concerned enough to be looking for another qb via the draft.

I'd do it and I'm not even that high on Tua. I'd rather have Tua in dynasty and then try to pay someone like Matt Ryan or Tannehill kind of cheap right now if you need a QB.

This! I have both, along with Jimmy G (mainly because he went to my high school... Go Mustangs), as you can see in my sig. That said, I agree with Gator.... unless you are punting the season and know you have no chance, I am perfectly fine rolling TB12 out there for at least another season.

I don’t really know that I believe their numbers will look vastly different for much longer. I’d take Tua here.

Assuming this is the league in your sig (12 teams, 10 keepers) I see absolutely zero reason to move for Tua here. It seems like acquiring a startable Tua-level QB would be EXTREMELY easy in that league format. So just ride Brady out until he's done and then worry about QB at that point. I would imagine plenty of guys like Cousins, Carr, etc are available in that format and can be had for essentially nothing.

I doubt you'll even want to keep Tua in that format anyway unless he has some huge breakout this year. For reference I play a lot of FFPC leagues which are essentially 12 team, keep 14 leagues and in none of them was Tua kept this year, even with 4 extra keepers.

Exactly what I was thinking. However, if in a league with larger rosters, I'd still go with Brady, but maybe try to land Tua for yor bench if intrigued by him.
