Gap between CMC & Akers

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Gap between CMC & Akers

Postby pmart33 » Fri Apr 09, 2021 7:16 am

In a vacuum, what is the gap between the 2 players in terms of picks. How off is this? 12 team 1QB PPR League

Akers, 1.07, 2022 1st (likely top 5) 2023 2nd
CMC, 3.08 2023 3rd

I think this is a fair offer. Multiple 1sts on top even with one being future seems fair. The 1.07 is not the best pick and would prefer an earlier pick, but if I were looking to move CMC, the value is there. I don't its a must take offer though either.

Not sure how the 2022 1st is "top 5" when the team is currently at 1.07 and will be adding McCaffrey...

But that aside - 2 firsts and Akers is probably good value, but I'd have difficulty pulling the trigger as I'm not 100% sold on Akers, plus my team might be built around CMC.
On the other side, I would easily give this up for McCaffrey. Studs are worth it.

Unless he is in love with Akers, I don't see this as enough
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

Correct. The team whose 2022 1st I'd receive finished 2nd to last in 2020, and while he has some solid draft capital this year to improve, his team doesn't project to be a playoff team given how the rest of the league looks.

Makes sense.
I just don't like to bank on potential draft slots. Never know when and how quickly a team can turn it around. If looking at future picks, I assume worst case, and if it's better for me, then winning!
