Kamara or...?

I have an offer on the table that would send Kamara my way. I have a good mix of win now players and young pieces. Has Kamara hit his peak, and how should we feel about him without Brees at QB?

I've been offered Kamara(26yo) for Akers(22yo) + 2.05.

What are your thoughts?

2.05 isn’t enough for me to move

I don’t think in .5 PPR there could be a huge difference but I’d still side with track record

I’m trying to sell my PPR Kamara share for Cook. I feel he could take a little hit without Brees

Feels like a deal that a win now team should make. While I like Akers a lot and I do think that we've seen Kamara's best days already, I think he's still a locked in Mid range RB1 at worst.

I’m taking Akers here. I don’t think the prospective output difference for 2021 outweighs the long term upside of Akers.

Kamara for me, easily. The same arguments about age were being tossed around last offseason about Henry. Then he went on to destroy the league. If you want to win in 2021, you grab Kamara and don't look back.

This feels like a look a little too far down the road. We're giving Akers too much value for being young. You gotta remember, McVay loves 3-headed monsters. If Kamara stays healthy, he's the guy. Even without Brees. Snap accept for Kamara. Even if you're not a contender, because you'll be able to move him for way more than you will Akers halfway through 2021, if you want to of course.

I agree that Kamara gives you a better chance to win right now. But in fairness McVay only loved a 3 headed monster approach in his backfield for half of the 2020 season. All the other data we have on him has a HC indicates that he’s okay with having a bell cow in his backfield. When we saw Akers get the work he looked great in that role.
