What would you do?

So here is my delima. I have picks 1.1 1.3 and 1.6 this year with other 2nd and 3rds. I’m in a 14 team 1QB league that has the normal starting spots. The problem is that I don’t have any RBs or QB starters on my team since I took it over as an orphan last year and sold all my assets, but have young Upcoming WRs. Finally here is the question.. do I draft Lawrence to have a legitimate QB starter, draft Chase as BPA, go RB as they are very hard to get, or trade 1.3 and 1.6 to get 1.2?

I would go BPA across the board and may look to trade back on draft day to land a couple later 1sts and grab Lawrence even in a 1 QB league. I would not force a RB however. If Chase is your #1 in the class, take him and then see who falls to the 1.03. You will get a back there for sure if they are the best player left on the board. I would not force anything however being in a multiple year build by the sounds of it.

BPA. Almost without exception. I will say BPA in the top 6 can be kind of hard to make sense of at times. Your top 6 might look different than DLF or another poster, just make sure you are drafting based off of dynasty values and not position needs.

Reaching for QBs and RBs wouldn't make sense considering your WRs still wouldn't be ready to contend for a year or two anyway.

It sounds like your team has multiple needs. This makes BPA the absolute only way to go. In a 1 QB league a QB should never go #1. cquiring Chase in as many leagues as possible this year and I don't care what my team make up looks like before I take him.

BPA all the way. I would bump Lawrence's value up a bit due to it being a 14 teamer, so could see taking him at 1.06 assuming he's still there or bundling some later picks to move up. Chase would be my 1.01.

X2 I'm guessing in a 1 qb league that at 6 Trevor will be sitting there waiting for you. I'd even look to move the 6th pick for a qb and possibly move back in the draft if a team has 2 quality qb's. But I'd want a young qb, no Ryan or Staffords, I'd need a proven quality qb whos under 30.

Like Gator Sens said, I wouldn't force anything. To what you said about the 1.03 & 1.06 for the 1.02, I would NOT do that in a rebuild. IMO, you always want more dart throws. 1.03 & 1.06 are nice and early too. It's not worth it to move up 1 spot from 1.03. I would use all three of your first rounders on BPA. I would be looking to acquire Lawrence with the 1.06, even though that's slightly early for him. At 1.01 & 1.03 you're looking at a Harris/Chase type of combo. If I came out of the 1st round with those 3 in your situation, I'd be feeling pretty good about how much I accelerated the rebuild.

your first 3 picks (in the first round) you either draft your favorite RB/WR or you trade back. 2nd rounders is where you can consider QBs. If you are in such a dire need of QBs I'd use atleast one of your 2nds and one of your 3rds on rookie QBs (Lawrence, Fields, Lance, Wilson, and Jones as of now).

DLF rookie rankings currently have Lawrence at 11, Fields at 15, Wilson 22, Lance 25, Jones 31

Without a solid QB option I would probably shade towards WRs over RBs in the event of ties. But I think you'll be fine taking Harris, Etienne, or Williams (I wouldn't take any other RB in the frist as of now).

There is no reason you should be trading up in this draft, especially giving up the 1.03 and 1.06 for the 1.02.

BPA. and in a rebuild, I am not trading the 3/6 for 2. I like the idea of taking Chase at 1. If Harris is there at 3, take him, if not, trade down a couple spots and land more picks or young players. I would take Lawrence/Pitts at 6.
