Trying to be smart...

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trying to be smart...

Postby OhSnapItsAnt » Thu Apr 08, 2021 9:06 am

Trying to make a move to get a 22 1st from the team I believe (almost guaranteed) will come in the bottom 3 this season.

Thinking of offering my
2022 1st, Chase Edmonds, 2022 3rd

Getting his 2022 1st, Melvin Gordon

He said hes open to this... I like Chase Edmonds... but it seems this community is low on him. So I honestly don’t want to lose him but I should make this move right?

Edit: I can offer Chase, Boyd or Gallup

I think the value is probably there, I think I would try and sell Chase a little higher with him being the only back in town right now
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

I like the value here long term but I don't think Edmonds is a good asset and I'm not buying the Arizona narrative. I don't disagree with Murphy that you could maybe get a better long term piece coming back than Gordon, it's more beneficial for you build. Try to sell as high as possible especially with the other owner already being interested, but a top 3 potential pick in 2022 is pretty great.

I agree with this. And I would try to do it before the draft. You don't want to watch the Cardinals draft a RB and kill Edmonds offseason value.

swapping picks is always a risk, i'd rather give a late 1sr this year.
gordon's production for the next two seasons is what you hope edmonds will get, but it's more likely that he won't, i don't believe a playoff team will go into an extended season with those options at RB.

useless fact of the day: gordon and edmonds have the same birthday.

I really don't believe AZ will go into the season with Edmonds as their primary RB. I would take this deal pretty easily. Gordon isn't sexy, but is just fine as your RB3 and the pick swap next year is huge if it pans out. Well worth that risk for me.

Sounds like he is open to making something happen. I'd definitely keep hammering away ideas. I'd take the one you said now if that's all you can come up with and just try and deal Chase for a 2nd before the draft
TEAM 1 - 12 man SF. ppr, TEP 1.65 ppr

11 starters - QB, RB(2) WR(3) TE, SF, Flex(3)

Stroud, Kyler, Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson, Minshew, Trey Lance, Dalton l, Mike White

Breece, Achane, AJ Dillon, Justice Hill, Evan Hull, Chris Rodgriquez

Chase, Lamb, Waddle, Olave, London Drake, Demario Davis, Jake Bobo

Kyle Pitts, Mark Andrews, Kincaid, Schoonmaker

24 picks - 1x2, 3,4,5

Team 2-
12 man SF, .25ppc, .5ppr rbs, 1 ppr wr, 1.5 ppr TE

Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawerence, Jake Haehner, Jake Browning

JT, Kendre Miller,, K Ingram, Ty Chandler, Michael Carter, Kenny Macintosh, Sean Tucker

Puka, Rondale, Mooney, Wan’dale, Terrace Marshall, DPJ, Justyn Ross, Xavier Hutchinson,

Kyle Pitts, Luke Musgrave, Juwan Johnson, Darnell Washington, Jelani Woods, Elijah Higgins

24 - 1st x 3, 2nd x 2, 4th x 3 ,5
