Startup almost over , What now ?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

I like this as a potential win-now startup, especially with getting a pair of young QBs with rushing floors. Ideally, I like more prototypical passing production in an SF startup, but there’s nothing wrong with this QB combo in the short term. I’m not super stoked about the RB group, but I think it’s a solid group of starters. WR is definitely a win-now group, hopefully Jones has a bounce back year, and Allen and Robinson are about as reliable as they come. While I’m not a big Diontae fan, you can do far worse at WR3/4. TE is the biggest weakness in terms of being a top contender this year and next, but Goedert is in that big group just behind the elite guys for me, so you’re in the same boat as all but 3 teams in your league there.

We’re rookie picks included in the startup? If so, what did you come away with on that front?

I think the only changes I’d look to make would be small value upgrades here and there if they present themselves. Outside of that, I could see starting to retool to get younger later in the 2021 season if things aren’t going well, but I would think this team can contend as long as injuries don’t hit too hard. Good stuff here!

Your team is built to win now, so I would not be looking to do much as of now. Drafting a build like this gives you an immediate shot and I think you let that play out. Hang tight!

(13) 12 Team SF, .15 PPCompletion, WR 1.25 PPR, .2 PPCarry, TE 2 PPR
Looks like some nice bonuses all around.

QB-K.Murray, L.Jackson, J.Winston, G.Minshew
Looks great. Lackson will make up for the PPCompletion loss with the PPCarry increase. I think Winston wins the job. Minshew I think is done. Maybe he gets another look on another team next year as a backup. If he somehow manages to get his way to denver this year, he could be interesting.

RB-J.Mixon, M.Sanders, D.Montgomery, M.Gaskin, T.Gurley, T.Coleman, B.Scott
Looks fine. Mixon just got a boost with gio going. I'd look to get Semaje Perine if you can, but I also think Cinci will bring in another backup. Coleman likely finds his way to some work this year, but not as a starter.

WR-K.Allen, A.Robinson, J.Jones, D.Johnson, J.Reagor, M.Hardman, T.Smith, Q.Cephus
I like this group. I'm not high on Johnson and with Juju coming back I think his stock has taken a bit of a hit. I think you have some nice younger pieces in Reagor, Hardman, and Smith.

TE-D.Goedert, H.Hurst
I'm concerned about both of these players. They should be fine, but I'm concerned.

Picks??
I can't tell if rookies were already included in your draft. I really hope they were, but may as well ask if there is still a 2021 rookie draft happening, and if so, do you ahve any picks. What is your pick situation in 2022?

Overall:
Win now team, biggest hole is TE. I would look to trade for Waller if possible. Also a cheaper option is Logan Thomas, who I think could still put up a good season this year.

You need te badly here. If bryant is left, I'd draft him. Parnham is another worth a shot.

Solid team out of the startup.

Thank you for the replies fellas , One thing though I don't understand why people are talking about TE is bad , I have the #8 TE in PPG last year while splitting with Ertz , With Ertz gone and no WR core to speak of I can see Goedert having a Waller breakout year , He should get minm 130 targets , And if you don't have 1 of the top 3 it's pretty much a wash anyway

Its the weakest link is all. That premium is pretty big though... I would get 1 if not 2 more.

That could also benefit a TE as TE routes often are the easiest throws to make. My bigger issue would be the recent rumors Ertz could be brought back. Either way I’d be perfectly happy with these 2 TEs as long as ATL doesn’t draft pitts. In a 2PPR the top 3 TEs likely went very early and would not be obtainable trade targets.

I mean I drafted Goe in the 8th round , I am hoping Ertz is gone this year , I think if he is Goe could hit TE4 not to far from the 3rd place TE.

If you can start a TE in a flex spot and still get the premium, this dude is going to smash unless the rest of his team is garbage.
