Tough call since he is a starter and seems like Carolina is hoping he is the guy. The backend of a mid 1st maybe?? He is really tough to value.

Totally dependent on who's rostering him. He's my QB3, but I have depth at the other positions and have no need to trade him just yet. A late first wouldn't be enough, but I'd likely sell for an early 1st. So a mid 1st seems about right for a starting QB.
Knowing what NFL teams Mac Jones/Trey Lance go would help determine what spot you value Darnold at depending on if you'd take him over those guys.

I'm not buying him. Carolina still owns the 8th pick. If a qb they like falls there they will grab the qb.

Well he was taken #3 overall and people had mixed reactions over his pick. He's had a whole lot of nothing to help him in NY, so if he is going to make it now is his chance to shine with the weapons in Carolina. Between CMC, DJM and R Anderson they have quality weapons for him. So beauty is in the eye of the beholder really, in a SF I'd say a mid to late 1st with rookie fever pushing other's ahead of him, a 1 qb league a late 2nd or 3rd.

He falls into the bucket of potential one-year only starters. Behind Hurts, ahead of guys like Dalton, Roethlisberger, Newton, Fitzpatrick. Late 1st /early 2nd (1.11-2.02) seems about the area for the asking but I wouldn't be paying that nor looking to acquire.
