One of the most difficult decisions I've had to make in dynasty

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

One of the most difficult decisions I've had to make in dynasty

Postby Bennyblanco22 » Thu Apr 01, 2021 1:05 pm

Team 3 in sig.

I'm sitting at 1.06 and absolutely love it. I think 3-6 picks are completely equal as of right now with talent being so close. Have been in negotiations with a buddy who made a MASSIVE trade for Herbert and a very late 22 first, after a series of trades made to go all in for the 21 season didn't pan out, ultimately leaving his team with 2 elite QBs, Hill, Dobbins and Sanders and not much else (Chark). Now it seems as though he's looking to trade down from Hill especially, and Mahomes too and very much looking to recoup picks after trading all first and seconds (and most thirds) and only able to recover the Late 22 1st previously mentioned.

TLDR;

Give: Burrow, Arob, Deebo, 1.06 (and a 23 2nd which would not be included as my counter would be without it)

Get: Mahomes, Hill, 22 1st (likely 10-12)

Like I mentioned I'm very high on the 1.06 with this being a TE premium league. What do you guys think?

Despite the excitement of the 1.06, I think you come out well ahead in this deal. Your QB core is rough, but you lock up the number 1 asset in SF. Mahomes is worth more than Burrow + Robinson + Samuel combined and Hill + a future 1st is worth much more than the 1.06 in my opinion. Great deal overall for you.

You guys don't think the gap between Burrow and Mahomes will close enough this season to make this close? My whole dynasty career has been predicated on making moves with foresight and future considerations, even if it appears to slightly hurt me in the interim. And while I'm not too high on Deebo, what about the prospect of keeping Burrow if I'm able to land Lance at 1.06(decent draft landing spot)? (or Fields but I'm losing steam on him and don't know if he's as committed and a hard enough grinder to excel in the league. And trust me guys, I am definitely not trying to talk myself out of this trade, I'm just considering all details. Lay it on me fellas.

Bro. As a Mahomes/Tyreek stack owner... Do it.

Personally, I'm not trading Mahomes for Burrow/ARob/Deebo... Hill is worth more than the picks. I'd do this without getting the 22 1st back tbh

That's pretty good... I'd be looking for a better QB2 asap but the rest is good. Maybe sell Jrob for one. Could also see dealing CMC if you can get a ransom

I think Burrow is a great asset but will not come close to unseating Mahomes at the top of the list in SF. This deal goes beyond Mahomes for me though when you factor in Hill and the stack for the coming years. As much as I like Burrow, this is a huge win for you on all accounts now and likely long term. You are locking up two monster assets in one deal that is surprisingly on the table in my opinion.

Strongly on the Mahomes side here. It's never sexy in the offseason to sell picks and we're always thinking about potential of rising stars but Mahomes/Hill/1st crushes this one for me. It doesn't get much better.

Mahomes/Hill/1st very easily. I probably wouldn’t have wasted time fretting over the other pieces and smash accepted this one if it’s on the table.
