1.08 = what Veteran Wide Receivers?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

1.08 = what Veteran Wide Receivers?

Postby kmbryant09 » Wed Mar 31, 2021 6:19 pm

For my team in sig, I'm looking to defend my title this year. Made some trades this off-season and as you can see, I have a really solid RB group. While I have a decent WR core, it's a little shallow after replacing Ridley with Higgins and I'm looking to add reinforcements.

What WR's should I try and target with my 1.08 pick? C. Sutton? C. Kupp? D. Samuel? Am I better off just waiting for the draft and grabbing a prospect like Bateman or Waddle? FWIW, I feel very confident that the top 3 RB's will go early, meaning one of Chase, Smith, Waddle, Bateman, and Pitts will definitely be available.

Let me know, thanks!

If I were you, I'd be targeting TE, not WR, with that pick.

I hear ya. Problem is the Kelce & Waller owner are heavily in win-now mode and the Little owner has no interest in trading.

I also don't see much value in trading assets for someone like H. Henry, T. Hockenson, etc. who may not prove to be an upgrade on Engram / Irv / Gronk rotation this year. There's also a strong possibility Pitts would be my pick at 1.08.

I would float the pick out to your league and let them all know you are interested in a WR. See what offers come.

I would aim higher than the guys you mentioned and probably wait until the draft to move it.

I'd put the pick on the block and see what kind of interest you get, but I'd try to go after Allen with that pick. He's old enough that someone might be willing to cut bait but probably has 3 more years of solid-to-elite production left with Herbert.
