Godwin for Kelce

Postby Krissi24 » Tue Mar 30, 2021 3:45 pm

12 team 0,5 ppr, Starting QB, 2RB, 4WR, TE, FLEX

My starters:
Big Ben and Jalen Hurts
Zeke, Ekeler, Gibson, Jeff Wilson
A-Rob, Godwin, Sutton, Boyd, Woods, Campbell, Beasley, Bourne
Ertz, Firkser, Njoku

Just received this offer: Godwin for Kelce.

Will that trade help my team and should I do it or ask for something on top of Kelce?

Comments and advices are really appreciated

Certainly a large upgrade at TE, but given the starting requirements I'm not sure I could make this deal. Starting 4 WR's a week makes Godwin super valuable in my opinion. You have Woods or Boyd to fill in the gap, but I would still rather hold Godwin. I still view him as a big WR asset though.

This is a tough one. My first thought, laced with age bias, is to go with Godwin. But the reality is Kelce and Godwin probably have about the same length of remaining career (weird but true based on several published age cliff type articles).

You are more likely to replace Godwin's production via the draft than Kelce's production. Take Kelce (or more if you can swing it).

Very tough one here. Godwin’s production is theoretically more replaceable, but with the 4 WR starting req, I don’t think I’d be willing to give up Godwin for Kelce alone.

Long term, the value is clearly on the Godwin side, but over the next 1-2 years, Kelce will likely help you a LOT more. You know your league better than we do, obviously. If you think this move makes you a legitimate contender, then go for it. Yes, it makes you super thin at WR with having to start four, but you currently have next to nothing at TE. This move definitely improves your starting lineup, but is it enough to win a title?
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

I agree this is a tough call, and I dont think there is a right or wrong answer..

Do you have any draft picks this year? If so you could use a first to try and replace Godwin. I think getting Kelce gives you a good shot going in to next year

Good angle here. FAR easier to replace WR points than elite TE points. I'd go Kelce too.

For the long haul, I'd hold Godwin. However, with Ben, Zeke, ARob, Woods and guys like that on the roster, it might be a window to go all in. I think I would make the move and go all in. You have the depth to do it and it would be a monster boost at TE.

Even with start 4 WR, 0.5 PPR has me leaning towards Kelce. Don't think you're a top competitor with your current TE. With Kelce, you open a window.
