I want the 1.01

Team 2.....blew it up last year. Obviously not a serious contender this season. I’d like to move up to 1.01 to nab Najee to pair with Akers. Then grab BPA at 1.02 and 1.05. Godwin+1.12 should get it done, right?

I think Godwin is pretty important to your build and I would hold him, but I'm still very high on him. I think the offer should be enough, but I doubt it is this time of year. Have you asked the pick owner what it would take?

not gonna give it up for that.....looking at your build 1.02 take Ent or Chase....at 1.05 take Pitts...the full PPR..makes TE worth it....get a premium.....at 1.12 take best RB avail......

I think you should hold here. If you're not in contention next year then casually tank this year and get 1.01 next year and get your rb next year. You can put chase next to pitts this year and grab another rb next year. Najee may be worth it but you have to know where he lands first in the nfl. Ceh was not the rb1 last year yet went as rb1 in most rookie drafts because of his landing spot. I think you gotta be patient until you see where he lands.

If I had Godwin and 1.12 I’d send that for 1.1 easily. Godwin is a good player but he’s not a difference maker for a fantasy team. Too many WRs score in his range so yes I like that offer for you to get 1.1. Not sure the other guy will accept right now but if you can do it I would. Then dangle that 1.1 up until time to pick and if nothing you like shows up take your rookie.

EDIT: I agree with this very much ... but I can't help thinking that "perfect is the enemy of good enough." Godwin is probably the most we can expect any random Top5 rookie pick to become. If every Top5 pick ended up like Godwin after two years, we'd be dancing every time.

But I get the notion that a perfect pick for me would end up like Davante Adams. And he wouldn't take 4 years to get there - he'd bust out like Justin Jefferson and never slow down before age 30. But should I toss back every guy that's not a Top5 at his position just so I can try again with the next new guy?

So, while I probably would trade Godwin+1.12 for 1.01, I'm not sure that would be the best thing for the team.

Another question that probably deserves its own thread: Can a team realistically hope to win the championship without any players in the Top5 (or even Top10) at their position?

x2. I would easily give up Godwin and the 1.12 for the 1.01. I don't see anything special with Godwin there. Although he was injured, most of the season, he gives me JuJu vibes for some reason. I don't think he cracks WR 1 again these next couple of years.

I absolutely would. Wouldn’t even hesitate with that RB group and the upside WRs he has. Go get 1.1 before official landing spots and see what looks appealing. Worst case you get your choice of WR/RB at 1.1 and gives flexibility with other picks. Adding chase here and following up with another WR or top RB is a nice way to bump this roster. Godwin is good but he’s not worth it to me. Much rather have 1.1 with the other picks he already has.

This team would look way better with top guys taken 1.1, 1.2 and 1.5 imo
