This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade help

Postby Jcedwards » Fri Mar 26, 2021 6:03 pm

Updated offer:

SEND: Pittman, 1.12, 2.12, 22 2nd (probably late)
RECEIVE: 1.05, 22 3rd, Cohen, Edelman

I am trying to move up from 1.12 to 1.05. The owner of 1.05 is a big Pittman fan, so we have discussed this deal:

SEND: Pittman, 1.12, 22 2nd (probably late), 3.08
RECEIVE: 1.05, Cohen, Edelman

He likes it, but is unsure about the drop off from 1.05 to 1.12. Well I have another offer from a different owner of AJ Dillon and 1.12 FOR 1.08, which I would then use to trade up to 1.05 (guy likes that better if I can get it) with a similar package including Pittman and Cohen.

So my big question is do I hold Dillon, as Jones insurance, or make the trade and ultimately move up to 1.05? I’m torn on what to do, as I like having Dillon (plus he’s on taxi, so he wouldn’t take up a roster spot, until I needed him)

I think if you can go from 12 to 5 with minimally small pieces like Pittman, Dillon, 2nd you have to do it. You have a very nice roster and I'd rather package those guys up and you're looking at a top tier talent on the draft instead of the 12th best which is likely a later WR

I would rather move Dillon in the package than Pittman after the money Green Bay gave Jones. Not a bad price overall here if you want to move up and this is on the table.

Well I’d actually be moving Pittman regardless.

It’s actually pretty much going from 1.12 directly to 1.05 or 1.12 to 1.08 and then 1.08 to 1.05.

The only difference is that if I go straight from 1.12 to 1.05, I keep Dillon. If I go from 1.12 to 1.08, I have to include Dillon. Then 1.08 to 1.05 would be with Pittman.

Got it, thanks for the rundown. In that case, it makes sense to hold Dillon for sure.

Appreciate it Gator. I wasn’t sure if keeping Dillon is a big deal, or if it was fine to get rid of him. I know the guy prefers to only drop to 1.08 instead of 1.12, but said he will still consider the original deal, so I still may try and go with that one.

I'd make the trade. If you have your sights set adn believe in the 1.05, that's a low price to pay.

Dillon still has decent value and purpose even with Jones returning as he’s an upgrade on Jamaal Williams, IMO. I’d prefer moving from 12 to 5 and keeping him by a fair bit.

I’d prefer moving from 1.12 to 1.05 and still keep Dillon if possible as a Jones handcuff. If that’s not going to work out though, I’m not opposed to making the move up to 1.08 for Dillon/1.12 then swinging the Pittman deal for 1.05.

New proposal:

SEND: Pittman, 1.12, 2.12, 22 2nd (probably late)
RECEIVE: 1.05, 22 3rd, Cohen (guy is trying to get rid of him, as he has all 3 CHI RBs now), Edelman (would be a drop for him, so he is a toss in to see what happens with him)

This way I get to keep Dillon. What do you think of this package? I'm really liking the package honestly, but wanted some other feedback. I would still have 1.05, 2.08, 3.08 in the draft.

Yes take the 1.5 all day there. I would've done it with the Dillon way, but this is even better. Rather keep Dillon over future late 2
