Gap from Gesicki to Kittle? TE Premium

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Gap from Gesicki to Kittle? TE Premium

Postby eraldo_coil » Fri Mar 26, 2021 8:54 am

Team 1 in sig, I was offered Kittle for 1.03 and Gesicki.

I would love to upgrade to a top 3 TE with Kittle on my squad but feel like the 1.03 might be a bit steep as a bridge-gapper from where Gesicki's at. Especially since I see Gesicki taking a step forward this year if Tua improves.

Thoughts on this?
Team 1
12-team, 0.5 PPR, SuperFlex, TE Premium (+0.5 PPR) | 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 3FLEX, 1SF

QB: Hurts, Herbert, Cousins, Purdy
RB: Taylor, Barkley, Swift, Mixon, N.Harris, Hunt, Dobbins
WR: Jefferson, Adams, Metcalf, Godwin, Ridley, Lockett, Cooks
TE: Kittle, Njoku, Gesicki

Team 2
12-team, PPR | 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2FLEX

QB: Wilson, Jones
RB: Robinson, Gibbs, Mixon, Sanders, R. White
WR: Lamb, Godwin, Lockett, Addison, D. Johnson, Meyers, Campbell, R. Moore
TE: Kincaid, Dulcich, Fant

I'd pay that for Kittle, especially for Team1

My first reaction was close but no.....then I looked at roster. You are so young across the board, adding Kittle makes a ton of sense.

Solid move for your build. Tough to move the pick, but adding an elite TE to your young build is helpful. Certainly pricey though.

I think I’d hold. I like Kittle, but i agree with you on Gesicki, between his and the whole offenses potential and the 1.3, that’s a lot of juicy upside. What if Kittle plays 10 or less games? Misses playoffs? Value plummets after another injury riddled season...?

Absolutely worth it in TEP. The gap between Kittle and Gesicki is that between the top dynasty option and just another frustrating TE.

i would be very happy about that price.

gesicki is a back end TE1, which means he scores pretty much the same amount of points per game as about 15 other guys. it also means he is closer to TE24 than he is to TE3.
he does have some spectacular catches but overall i believe he benefitted from opportunity more than his own talent, so i have my doubts he'll improve next season.

if you believe in him, i can see the hesitation, and i would try to squeeze a late pick with kittle, but i think it's a good deal.

Also, bear in mind: there's now a real possibility that Miami went up to #6 to get Pitts. In such case, the Gesicki stock goes in the toilet.

This is tough. I love Kittle, but this is also superflex, so that 1.3 is gold. I'd hold.

I missed the SF, so I must rescind my prior opinion and go with X2.

Yeah -- Given your roster, that puts you over the top. MIA is in flux. They'll likely add another WR at 1.06. Who knows how the targets shake out. Kittle is the alpha in SF.

1.03/Gesicki is a sweet price for Kittle, even in SF since it’s also TE prem. I’d make that deal for skittle.

Sounds like a stretch to me. They basically used 2 trades to move down 3 spots, I don’t think they moved up for any specific player and would think a wr is much more likely. Certainly not saying a pitts pick isn’t possible though, but nothing really changed for them I don’t think?
