I think Hunt helps more in the immediate for a contender.

Hunt for me in 1qb ppr. He’s a really good running back and still fairly young. He fits in really well with that system and I think it’s still possible he ends up with a lead role somewhere in the future.
Team 1:
10 team SF, .5 ppr
1-QB 1-SF 3-WR 2-RB 1-TE 1-Flex
QB: Allen, Burrow, Goff, Aidan OConnel
RB: ETN, K Walker, Swift, D Pierce, Monty, Herbert, McLaughlin
WR: Deebo, AJB, Lamb, DJM, Dell, Higgins, Jeudy, E Moore, Michael Wilson, Tutu
TE: Kinkaid, Schultz, Njoku

Apologies for the lack of detail.. but I can say:
1 QB
4 WRs
3 RBs
1 TE

and there are 2 more WRs I'd hiiiighly consider adding to the list.

I don’t necessarily trust Hunt as a high end flex play or more than an RB2/3 unless Chubb is out. I’d rather have 1.09 and take a swing on someone who could be a stud, RB or not. The value is close though in 1QB, so could see it going either way.

I agree Hunt is more of a RB3/flex play but he was RB10 in PPR last year. 10 points ahead of Chubb who missed 4 games

Interesting enough, Hunt averaged the same exact PPG with and without Chubb

Definitely keeping Chubb over 9th best rookie on 1QB. SF would be closer and probably lean pick

1QB league and I’m contending, I take the floor of Hunt here (and it’s not like he doesn’t have upside built in, as well). I personally think the value is very close to equal.

I would take Kareem Hunt but until something changes it's still going to be hard to trust him in your lineup week to week.

Hunt has a pretty clearly defined role in Cleveland and he actually produced better numbers with Chubb healthy. He finished rb 10 in my ppr league. So going for it I'll take Hunt over the 1.9.

I don't follow the logic you guys are using in this thread. If you're 'going for it', why would you cap your upside like that? It seems more like a half-hearted attempt at 'it' than anything else. Why not try for someone who could actually make a difference on your team? Apart from having super deep starting requirements, nobody's likely putting Hunt in their lineup unless Chubb is out. At least, not a strong contender.. RB10 or not.

Seems to me like it'd be muuuuch better to draft a rookie at 1.09 and move a 2nd for a guy like Melvin Gordon, if you really want/need some production. Taking Hunt over the 1.09 just seems like a low reward proposition.

Not taking a player who finished as an RB1 as depth doesn’t make much sense for a contender either. It sounds like he’d be starting a second RB1 for the price of a late 1st.

That said, I hope OP isn’t asking for either team in his signature (not contenders). I’d go with 1.09 for both those squads.
