Allen. Kyler Murray is electric and could end up being a stud QB but I trust Allen more and like the coaching staff and system he’s in better than Murray.

I took Allen over Murray in a start up last week. Love both players, but I trust Allen’s ability to hold up to getting hit more than I do Murray’s.

Allen for me as well. Pretty much a preference call for me. If the league is 6pt for all Td's that gives the edge to Allen for sure but if it's only 4pts for passing td's Murrays rushing ability adds some value.
12 team league - 1.0 PPR - 6pt TD's
Start 1Qb, 2Rb, 2Wr, 1Te, 2Flex, 1SF

Prescott, Brissett, Watson, Geno Smith, Corral
Mixon, Damien Harris, Carter, Jamaal Williams, Hines, Sermon, Ingram
Chase, Hill, DJ Moore, D. Smith, Marvin Jones, Shenault, R. Moore
Hockenson, Higbee, Smith, Otton

I prefer Murray slightly due to his huge rushing upside and I think he improves overall in year three. Allen really toned down his rushing outside the redzone this, but if he gets running again, this is even closer with the nod to Allen.

See I am the opposite. Allen is twice the size of Murray but he takes 5x the size of hits. He runs like Marshawn as a QB while Murray is great at getting down and avoiding the hits.

Allen reminds me enough of Cam to scare me away in the comparison between the two, whereas Murray reminds me more of a young Wilson.

Fair point, but unlike Cam, Allen can stand in the pocket and deliver when he needs to, which should prolong his career. I like Murray as well, but he got banged up this year taking a hit, and it was only year 2 for him. As fun as Kyler is to watch, a 5'8 200 guy can't take the punishment like a 6'5 230 guy can.

Cam had a few seasons where he could do that early in his career too. Not as well as Allen did this particular year but Cam's efficiency metrics as a passer through his first 3 years were right on par if not better than Allen's, just with a few more of the passing TDs converted to rushing TDs.

That's why I'll take the guy for whom accuracy has been a long-term strength (Murray) over the guy who was known for poor accuracy but had one great year that went the opposite direction (as Cam did as well).

Just my $.02 though, I totally can understand why people would prefer Allen as well.

I also prefer Kyler, but it's close. I think Allen had a great year, but isn't as good long term.

The cards need to get someone beyond D hop in that offense.
