Sell CMC and/or Adams

Team 1 in sig. (perennial middle of the pack team)

I asked for help a week or so ago in reference to this team about the direction of trying to compete by trading younger players and picks for established players. Today I’m asking for help on the flip side of it and wondering if I should “cash in” on CMC and/or Adams.

Nothing has been discussed with any other owner, I’m just spit balling scenarios for advice. A couple trade scenarios I’ve been working on, one each for my players, are as follows:

Give: CMC & 2.07 (could go 1.09 if needed)
Get: J. Jefferson & 1.02

Give: Adams (& 2.07 if needed)
Get: AJB & 1.07

Again just seeking advice on this side of the equation. I received great advice as always on the other side. Please let me know if: 1. These trade values are close 2. If I should be looking to sell these 2 superstar players.

You have a solid young build, but don't look like an out and out contender even with CMC and Adams in a 10 team league. I may be in the minority, but I like both deals. I would try not to add anything to either Adams or CMC, but I really like the idea of locking up Brown + Jefferson to build around as well as the two 1st round picks. CMC and Adams are both great assets but neither is likely to gain anymore value than they currently have based on age.

I think you throw out JJef and 1.02 for CMac and see the reponse.

I like both of those deals. I would prefer to hold onto your 1.09 and 2.07 if possible, but I'd ultimately be fine moving both of those picks with both of those players for the return you're asking.

You think I should try to make the deal(s) now before landing spots? Just in case player values jump due to those spots.

I like both if you can get them done. Great returns for each of them when they are usually pretty hard to move given the price.

Same. Nobody in my league would make that trade either. Possibly close for CMC but adams’ value has literally ranked in my leagues. I couldn’t even trade him for slightly less value. The “age” scare is real in these leagues. Nobody wants to invest in WR1 production likely for 1-2 years I guess.

Actually I take that back. No way anyone I know would trade JJ and 1.2 for CMC.

I don’t like deal 1 but I would do deal 2, if that’s on the table
