Jefferson vs 1.04 and 1.07

Postby Nathan28 » Sun Mar 07, 2021 6:50 pm

Should I trade the 1.04 and 1.07 for Justin Jefferson in a 2QB PPR league? Strong at WR and QB, but don’t love the RB’s in this draft. Win now team

As much as I like Jefferson, I think that’s an overpay, considering the format.

Seems pricey based on the 2 QB format. Tough to not buy Jefferson, but I think you hold here. What does your build look like?

I think it’s tough to pass up any opportunity to buy Jefferson, but this is too much for me. I’d keep 1.04/1.07 given the format.

I voted for Jefferson before I saw the 2QB requirement. I think that’d sway me to the picks side, assuming a 12-team league.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

I didn't realise it was 2QB (and I can't change poll choice) - give me the picks.

TE - Ferguson, Mayer, Knox.
DEF - Bills, Vikings.

Rookie Picks: 1.02, 2.02, 3.02, 4.02 and 5.02.

TEAM 2
Dynasty PPR - SuperFlex and TE Prem. (16 teams)

QB - Prescott, Pickett, Ridder, Mariota, Mullins, Willis.
RB - Walker III, R. White, Montgomery, Singletary, R. Jones, Mack, Hull, Sermon.
WR - Adams, Higgins, Watson, Meyers, Gabe Davis, W. Robinson, Dotson, Raymond, ARob.

If you’re no enamored with the RBs, why not take Chase 1.04 and pocket the 1.07 instead? You should be able to come away with two top WRs if that’s a need. I would at least wait to see who falls before making this decision.

Maybe I'm wrong here, but I'm pretty sure that millions of people saw Jefferson and Chase play on the same team, on the same field, at the same time.. and not 1 person ever said Jefferson was a better prospect than Chase. It's not a ding to Chase that he happened to be a year younger and will enter the NFL after Jefferson. I don't see why you'd dramatically change your perceptions of the two after one of them played in the NFL.

All that just to say that if you move Chase/1.07 for Jefferson, you're probably over-reacting to half of the information. I'd keep the picks here.

Well a year in the pros is better information than college though... plenty of “better” prospects have failed in the nfl. I’ll take chase and 1.07 as well, but I’m definitely taking Jefferson over chase 1 for 1.

I like Jefferson. What's not to like? But those picks being Chase (or whomever you like as BPA) plus another good pick at 1.07 has me feeling that this is too much of an overpay. I'd just keep the picks and draft.

Don't get me wrong.. I'm not saying Chase > Jefferson.

I'm just saying that we shouldn't be over-reacting to one year in the NFL when comparing to a guy who isn't yet in the NFL.
